New to Grow
I am a compassionate, client-centered therapist dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, resilience, and self-understanding. I draw from evidence-based approaches—including CBT, ACT, DBT, EMDR, and CAMS—to tailor treatment to each person’s unique needs. My style is warm, collaborative, and practical, focusing on building insight, strengthening coping skills, and supporting meaningful change. I work with clients to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where they can explore their experiences, heal from past wounds, and move toward a more grounded and fulfilling life.
In our first session, clients can expect a warm, welcoming conversation focused on understanding what brings them to therapy and what they hope to gain from it. We’ll talk about their history, current concerns, and goals, and I’ll answer any questions they have about the therapy process. Together, we’ll begin building a sense of safety and trust, and we’ll outline a plan for how we can work collaboratively moving forward. The pace is gentle—there’s no pressure to share more than feels comfortable.
I bring a blend of evidence-based expertise and genuine human warmth—and I’m not afraid to sprinkle in a little humor when it helps lighten the load. I believe therapy should feel both meaningful and manageable, so I create a space where clients can be honest, breathe deeply, and even laugh when life feels a bit too heavy. I combine practical skills with a down-to-earth style, meeting clients exactly where they are while gently guiding them toward growth. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and real—because healing works best when you don’t have to pretend to be anything other than yourself.
My ideal client is someone who is ready to explore their inner world with curiosity, even if they feel uncertain or overwhelmed at times. They may be navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, or big life transitions, and they’re looking for support in understanding their emotions and building healthier patterns. They value a collaborative, honest therapeutic relationship and are open to trying new skills and perspectives. Most of all, they have a genuine desire for growth and are willing to take steps—big or small—toward a more grounded, meaningful, and fulfilling life.
I help clients notice and accept their difficult thoughts and feelings rather than struggle against them. Together, we clarify what truly matters to them and build new, committed actions that move them toward their values, even in the presence of discomfort.
I work with clients to identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts and beliefs that influence their emotions and behaviors. Together, we develop practical coping skills and test new, healthier ways of thinking and acting to create meaningful, lasting change.
I work collaboratively with clients to understand the specific drivers of their suicidal thoughts and develop a shared treatment plan using the Suicide Status Form. Together, we focus on building coping strategies, reducing suffering, and increasing safety through an ongoing, respectful partnership.
I help clients build skills in mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness so they can navigate intense emotions more successfully. We balance validation with gentle challenge, working together to create healthier patterns and more effective coping in daily life.
I guide clients through a structured process that uses bilateral stimulation to help the brain reprocess distressing memories. This allows clients to reduce the emotional intensity of past experiences and develop more adaptive beliefs, promoting healing and resilience.
