Do you feel overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected? Maybe you cannot pinpoint what is wrong, yet daily life still feels heavy. Therapy can help you regain confidence, control, calm. I help people build practical skills to regulate emotions, reduce anxiety spirals, improve relationships, create routines that fit real life, move toward lasting change. I’m Jay, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I work with adults, teens, children dealing with anxiety, trauma, ADHD, stress, emotional regulation challenges. My approach blends evidence-based strategies with a mind-body lens, so we can look at thoughts, feelings, body cues, behavior patterns. Together we build awareness, resilience, healthier habits. My style is direct, supportive, practical. Clients often say sessions feel grounded, honest, focused on progress. You will get clear feedback, usable tools, a plan to practice between sessions.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we’ll map what has been hardest lately, what you want to shift, what progress would look like. I’ll guide the conversation, so you do not need to prepare in advance or worry about saying things “the right way.” I’ll explain how I work, answer questions, outline a clear starting plan. Many clients leave the first session feeling more grounded, understood, relieved to have direction.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my core strengths is combining compassion with practical strategies you can use right away. With expertise in mind-body work, nervous system patterns, I help you make sense of how stress shows up in the body, then teach regulation skills that support calmer choices. I focus on a safe, collaborative space where you feel understood, leave each session with tools that fit your life.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with clients who want active, skills-based therapy, who are open to trying new approaches, willing to practice between sessions. If you want a therapist who is supportive, straightforward, we will likely work well together. I also enjoy working with teens, children who feel misunderstood, plus parents who want stronger connection at home. I offer family therapy for support with relationships, communication, emotional regulation, behavior concerns, major life transitions, rebuilding trust. If you’re ready to start, I’m ready to work with you. Schedule an intake or consultation to see if we are a fit. If you feel unsure, that is ok. We can still talk through what you want, see whether this style matches your needs.

Jay feels like an old best friend. He will tell you what you need to hear directly but with a softness that really helps the message get through and be understandable and relatable. He's very knowledgeable with actionable suggestions to help work on specific concerns. Friendly and humorous which helps me feel relaxed and able to open up, he is good at what he does and it's clear he has a passion for helping others. Highly recommended!
