LATE NIGHT APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE Do you feel overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected? Maybe you cannot pinpoint what is wrong, yet daily life still feels heavy. Therapy can help you regain confidence, control, calm. I help people build practical skills to regulate emotions, reduce anxiety spirals, improve relationships, create routines that fit real life, move toward lasting change. I’m Jay, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I work with adults, teens, children dealing with anxiety, trauma, ADHD, stress, emotional regulation challenges. My approach blends evidence-based strategies with a mind-body lens, so we can look at thoughts, feelings, body cues, behavior patterns. Together we build awareness, resilience, healthier habits. My style is direct, supportive, practical. Clients often say sessions feel grounded, honest, focused on progress. You will get clear feedback, usable tools, a plan to practice between sessions.
In our first session, we’ll map what has been hardest lately, what you want to shift, what progress would look like. I’ll guide the conversation, so you do not need to prepare in advance or worry about saying things “the right way.” I’ll explain how I work, answer questions, outline a clear starting plan. Many clients leave the first session feeling more grounded, understood, relieved to have direction.
One of my core strengths is combining compassion with practical strategies you can use right away. With expertise in mind-body work, nervous system patterns, I help you make sense of how stress shows up in the body, then teach regulation skills that support calmer choices. I focus on a safe, collaborative space where you feel understood, leave each session with tools that fit your life.
I work best with clients who want a supportive, straightforward, and flexible approach to therapy. Some clients come in with specific goals and want practical skills or new strategies to try, while others simply need a consistent space to talk, process what’s happening in their lives, and figure things out as they go. Both are welcome. You don’t need to know exactly what you want to talk about showing up and being willing to have an honest conversation is enough for us to start. I especially enjoy working with teens, children who may feel misunderstood, and parents who want a stronger connection at home. I also offer family therapy to address relationships, communication, emotional regulation, behavioral concerns, major life transitions, and rebuilding trust. We’ll tailor therapy to what works for you rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all approach.

I saw other people remarking on how Jay is very honest and direct, and he is exactly that, which is what I need. He's helped me process trauma & unpack life events, in a way that makes me feel like my head isn't going to explode. I don't need to have the right words; Jay helps me express myself in a way that conveys my meaning properly. Jay acts like a real person, not some robot who exists to validate emotions. His challenging, authentic, and empathetic approach culminate in a great therapist!

Jay is an intelligent, funny, and authentic-to-the-self person. He's not afraid to challenge me on my thoughts—nor to be direct. Jay employs a multitude of therapeutic methodologies depending on my needs for the session with an easygoing style. As cliché as it can be to say this, it's like talking to a friend... who happens to have an incredible wealth of knowledge, experience, and empathy. I CANNOT overstate the extent to which I recommend Jay!

Jay feels like an old best friend. He will tell you what you need to hear directly but with a softness that really helps the message get through and be understandable and relatable. He's very knowledgeable with actionable suggestions to help work on specific concerns. Friendly and humorous which helps me feel relaxed and able to open up, he is good at what he does and it's clear he has a passion for helping others. Highly recommended!
