New to Grow
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works with children, adolescents, and families facing challenges such as trauma, ADHD, and adjustment disorders. My approach combines evidence-based therapies with an understanding of the mind-body connection to help clients build resilience, manage emotions, and strengthen relationships. I strive to provide a supportive, goal-focused space where clients feel empowered to grow, heal, and thrive.
In our first session, my priority is creating a safe, comfortable space where you can share at your own pace. I’ll ask some questions to understand what brings you to therapy, your goals, and the challenges you’re facing but there’s no pressure to have it all figured out. I’ll also explain how I work, answer your questions, and outline a plan that feels realistic and supportive. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and encouraged about the path ahead.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is blending compassion with practical, evidence-based strategies. I draw from my background in psychophysiology and counseling to help clients understand the connection between mind and body, while also teaching skills they can use right away. Clients often tell me they appreciate that I am down-to-earth, direct, and honest, but also supportive and encouraging. I focus on creating a safe, collaborative space where people feel understood and leave with tools that truly fit their lives.
I enjoy working with clients who are motivated to make positive changes and who value having support and guidance along the way. My ideal clients are open to reflection, willing to try new strategies, and interested in building skills that improve their emotional well-being, relationships, and overall quality of life.
Reality Therapy helps clients recognize their ability to make choices that move them closer to the life they want. I use this approach to encourage responsibility, self-awareness, and positive change through practical problem-solving
I use CBT to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and actions. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns and practice new ways of coping so you can feel more in control of your emotions and choices
I use an attachment-based approach to help clients strengthen their ability to build safe, supportive relationships. Together, we explore past and present relationship patterns and work on creating trust, security, and healthier connections.
