LCSW, 3 years of experience
New to Grow
Hi, I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and mental health therapist. I earned both my undergraduate degree in pre-law with a minor in psychology and graduate degree in Clinical Social Work from Florida State University. I have had the opportunity to work with and serve some of the most amazing people I've ever met in various work environments including private, group, residential, hospital and emergency settings. Today, my mission is simple: to provide a safe, supportive, and open environment where you can do the work—your work—at your own pace.
We will establishes primary concerns and presenting problems and I will ask you to describe your current experience along with your insights in relation to your experiences. Ideally we begin to formulate or establish a goal with the understanding that the goal can be adjusted.
My approach to therapy is rooted in a strengths-based, person-in-environment perspective. I integrate client-centered humanistic approaches, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic insight, and the transtheoretical model of change. I tailor my work to the unique needs of each person, because healing is rarely one-size-fits-all.
I work with adults and Veterans of all ages navigating addiction, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, or simply feelings of listlessness or anxiety in the challenges of everyday life.
My approach to humanistic therapy draws from various other treatment methods such as Cognitive Behavioral and Psychodynamic approaches. From a strengths based perspective, acknowledging our current circumstance and the influence of our past experiences, we have the capability to create out best life beginning right where we are today. I have worked with a diverse client population of adults and Veterans employing the principles of the Humanistic method to help clients on their journey to self-discovery and success.
