LCSW, 20 years of experience
New to Grow
I am a dedicated social worker who has served individuals and families since 2004. My background spans foster care, behavioral health, crisis-prevention programs, medical social work, and long-term care coordination for clients receiving Medicaid services. I’ve also supported families navigating court involvement, custody disputes, parental conflict, and adolescent drug-prevention programs. I work with a steady, compassionate, and practical approach—drawing on CBT, Christian counseling when desired, and years of multidisciplinary experience to help clients create meaningful and lasting change.
In our first session, you can expect a calm, welcoming space where we get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask about your current concerns, your history, and your goals so we can start shaping a plan that fits your needs. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—this session moves at your pace. You’ll have time to ask questions, clarify what you’re hoping for, and get a sense of how we’ll work together. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and clear about the next steps in your therapeutic journey.
What makes me unique as a provider is the depth and breadth of my experience, paired with a calm, steady presence that helps clients feel safe and understood. With over two decades in social work across foster care, behavioral health, medical settings, crisis prevention, family court involvement, and long-term care, I bring a comprehensive understanding of how systems, relationships, and personal history shape a person’s journey. I combine evidence-based approaches like CBT with the option for Christian counseling, allowing clients to integrate practical skills with their values and faith. My ability to remain grounded, compassionate, and solution-focused—especially in high-stress, complex situations—helps clients gain clarity, build resilience, and make meaningful, lasting progress.
My ideal client is someone who is motivated to understand themselves more deeply and ready to take practical steps toward change. They may be navigating family conflict, stress, anxiety, trauma, or major life transitions, and they’re seeking guidance that blends emotional insight with concrete tools. This client values honesty, growth, and a supportive therapeutic partnership. Whether they come with faith-based questions, a desire to challenge unhelpful patterns, or goals for healthier relationships, they’re open to learning new skills and committed to creating a more grounded, balanced life.
In my practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence one another. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns and develop practical strategies to challenge and reframe them. I guide clients in building skills they can use in daily life, empowering them to navigate challenges with greater confidence and resilience.
Incorporating Christian counseling into my work allows me to support clients through both evidence-based practices and the lens of their faith. I help clients explore how biblical principles, prayer, and spiritual reflection can guide their healing and decision-making. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate space where clients can integrate their spiritual beliefs with practical tools for emotional and personal growth.
