I am Casey Linda Unger, Licensed Professional Counselor. I have been in the mental health field since 1996 and licensed since 2002. My experience ranges from working with the chronically mentally ill in public mental health, private practice, inpatient psychiatric, diagnostics/assessment, crisis intervention, anger management, and employee assistance. My primary approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and the effectiveness it has in pointing out negative thought patterns. Through CBT I can help you see unconscious schemas that are leading you to do what you do, where they came from, how they developed, and ultimately how to become your own therapist reframing and moving forward on your own.

Some of the areas where I have the most experience are depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and grief and loss. I work with almost all age groups however, I typically do not work with persons under the age of 18. If you are a minor, please consult with me before scheduling an intake and I will consider your need and my areas of expertise and help you determine our next steps. I am also no longer able to accommodate couples therapy. If you are seeking a couples therapy session I will be happy to assist you with a referral. I have spent the majority of my career working in a University setting and have helped many college-age adults make meaningful changes. I have also worked in behavioral health clinics and have experience working with clients that have been legally referred to therapy.

Hi! I'm a TX based clinical social worker with 8 years of experience working with youth (13-17), young adults (18-24), and their families. I adopt a "meet you where you are" approach to therapy. I believe therapy should be collaborative and client-led. I help young people struggling with their emotions, particularly anger, sadness, and feelings of anxiety. I also work with families to improve communication and connection. Parents learn to engage with and adapt to the ever-changing needs of their children. Young people learn to recognize different perspectives and grow in their empathy for others.

Hello, I am a clinical psychologist who has been in practice sine 1999. I work with a general adult population, with my main focus being on PTSD, depression and anxiety. During the early stages of my career, I performed extensive psychological and neuropsychological testing. This helped me to understand the general workings of the brain and how important it is to utilize this knowledge in my therapy. I have found that helping my clients understand that mental illness is not "just in my head" or something I need to "get over' has been so very beneficial in people healing and taking control of their lives. I hope to have the opportunity to help you heal and make positive changes in your life.

I am a licensed independent practice-level clinical social worker. I have dedicated my career to working in behavioral health treatment. I have worked within the Department of Defense Schools in Europe and Asia. I have worked with Active Duty members, Veterans and their families. I have provided clinical supervision within both the Department of Defense headquarters and at the Veteran Affairs hospital, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Prior to joining the Civilian Service, I practiced mental health within the civilian community, my focus there was substance abuse, domestic violence and and a variety of mental health issues working with adolescents and adults. My strongest ability lies in helping a client identify strengths and weaknesses while guiding them to identify goals and interventions that will work specifically for them. The most challenging part of therapy is believing it will make a difference. The best way to overcome that hurdle is to see successful outcomes. Clinical experience has taught me that if you are willing to do the work, you will see results. Using the appropriate interventions, combined with mutual openness, respect and trust will enable you to overcome obstacles and achieve goals you didn't believe possible. Through years of dedicated work with all age groups, life experiences and extremely challenging circumstances, I have developed a strong sense of commitment in creating a safe and supportive environment that fosters healing, self-awareness and growth.

I am so glad that you are considering starting therapy! I know that this can be a hard process to begin, and I want to make it as comfortable as possible with all of the hope that I am the right therapist for you! I work with women who are struggling with what their future holds. Sometimes there is confusion about the next chapter, pain from traumatic experiences, or a lack of self-love to name a few unfortunate possibilities. Experiencing pain or feelings of emptiness does not have to be permanent. My clients desire to be free from any pain and build a restored sense of hope.

As a therapist, I am deeply committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I believe in a client-centered, collaborative approach, where the therapeutic relationship is a partnership. I meet clients as equals, respecting them as the experts in their own lives, and providing unconditional positive regard. I recognize that clients’ struggles are often shaped by social, cultural, and political forces like gender, race, and class. I take an intersectional approach, understanding how various aspects of identity intersect to create unique experiences. I focus on empowerment—helping clients reclaim their voice, challenge societal norms, and recognize their inner strength. My approach is eclectic and tailored to each client’s needs. I integrate methods like Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support healing, whether through trauma processing, emotional regulation, or shifting unhelpful thought patterns. I’m also trauma-informed, providing a safe space for clients to explore past experiences at their own pace. I value cultural humility and am committed to understanding the impact of cultural background on mental health. I strive to be inclusive, respecting each person’s unique worldview and lived experience. I see therapy as a strength-based process rather than a path to fixing someone. Clients are not broken but resilient individuals with the capacity to grow and heal. My goal is to support clients in reconnecting with their agency and personal power, empowering them to make choices that align with their true selves. Ultimately, I am an empathetic, compassionate therapist dedicated to the growth, healing, and empowerment of my clients, always working from a place of respect, authenticity, and social justice.

Hi! My name is Mira and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I graduated with a Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health from Midwestern State University. I also graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelors of Arts in Human Development and Family Sciences and a concentration on Families and Personal Relationships. As a child of immigrant parents, I understand the complexities of inter-generational trauma. The weight of cultural and societal expectations can take a toll on one’s mental health. Family and religious pressure can also have a negative effect on our own identity and self-perception. I believe that no matter what our past has given us or what our future holds, we are capable of working through our life challenges. My goal as a therapist is to help my clients embrace their authentic self and discover new paths of healing and growth.

I have thirteen years of clinical experience counseling individuals struggling with issues including anxiety, depression and trauma. I greatly value providing you with an authentic and judgement free experience. I find my clients appreciate my direct approach. In other words, I will give it to you straight. We will work towards what you want in life and that often means moving through what one historically avoids. What lies on the other side of the pain is the life you were meant to live. I also enjoy incorporating humor into our work together. Anxiety, depression and trauma often steal our joy and sense of humor. Joy and humor can be found again.
