Welcome! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-S) based in Texas. I am originally from San Antonio, Texas, and received my bachelor’s degree in Social Work at the University of Texas at Austin. During my undergraduate work I had the opportunity to study abroad in Accra, Ghana. After my ungraduate studies, I stayed in Austin for a while to continue working overnight at a shelter for survivors of sexual and domestic violence for women, children, and transgendered women while answering a 24/7 National Suicide Prevention Hotline. I went on to attain my master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from the Graduate College of Social Work at the University of Houston. I spent two additional years in clinical supervision working in hospitals, crisis mobile mental health, and facilitating groups to attain my independent clinical license. Thereafter, I spent time in clinical practice to build expertise to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor providing individual, family, and group therapy. Most recently I have broadened my scope of practice to include my Chemical Dependency Counseling license and Certification in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. In my free time, I enjoy singing, spending time with family and friends, cooking, film, and television. I help adults struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, relationship distress, and work related stress become the best versions of themselves.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, history, and then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. Together, we will next create goals and a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Having worked with people for the past 7 years, I've developed a tried-and-true playbook for helping you (a) identify harmful patterns in thinking and beliefs and (b) create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress through theoretical concepts and skills we will implement together.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with professionals, students, and family focused individuals. My clients are eager to improve, ready and willing to be open minded, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, critical of themselves, overwhelmed and anxious about decision making, their life, work, and their relationships.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I will utilize theoretical concepts and skills to help you explore what a life of meaning and fulfilling means to you, and ultimately support you to achieve a life worth living.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I will utilize theoretical concepts and skills to help you change the way you feel by changing the way you think. Together, we will identify unhealthy thinking patterns you may be getting stuck in stemming from harmful core beliefs and reframe to healthier core beliefs as well as healthy thought patterns that will help you manifest a healthy reality.
