(she/her)
At Tranquil Hearts Counseling Services, we provide a client-centered approach that empowers individuals to take an active role in their growth and healing. Our work emphasizes the connection between thoughts and behaviors, helping clients build practical skills to create meaningful change. Using evidenced-based strategies, we support clients in identifying patterns that may be holding them back and developing healthier, more effective ways of navigating life. We believe that change happens through intentional action and increased self-awareness. Our goal is to help you move forward with clarity, confidence and purpose.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, explore the concept of confidentiality and the limitations that I am upheld by. We will then explore chief concerns -the specific challenges you're facing and the reason you are seeking out counseling. This will help me create a tailored treatment plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. We will then explore my therapeutic approach and modalities used to assure that I will be a good fit for your needs.
Having worked with individuals for the past 7 years focusing on CBT & anxiety, I've developed a tried-and-true playbook for helping you (a) identify the root cause of your challenges and (b) create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress.
I am best positioned to serve self-motivated clients ages 15 and older who are ready to engage actively in their personal growth. These individuals may be navigating challenges such as anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, identity exploration, or difficulties with self-esteem and emotional regulation. They are often seeking greater clarity, balance, and a stronger sense of purpose in their lives. My ideal clients are those who are open to reflection, willing to explore their thoughts and patterns, and interested in developing practical tools to improve their well-being. They may not have all the answers, but they bring a readiness to participate in the therapeutic process and take meaningful steps toward change. In counseling, I support clients in building insight, strengthening coping strategies, and fostering resilience. Therapy goals often include improving emotional awareness, enhancing communication skills, setting healthy boundaries, and cultivating a more positive and empowered mindset. I work best with individuals who are not currently struggling with active addiction and who can maintain consistency and accountability in the counseling process. Overall, I aim to create a supportive, collaborative environment where clients feel heard, respected, and encouraged to grow at their own pace while working toward lasting, meaningful change.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a short-term form of behavioral treatment. It helps people problem-solve. CBT also reveals the relationship between beliefs, thoughts, and feelings, and the behaviors that follow. We will learn to re-write to script of any negative thoughts you are having and learn healthier, more balanced perspectives
