Erica Gould
Hi, I’m Erica — a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Texas with nearly 20 years of experience helping individuals and families navigate life’s ups and downs. Over the years, I’ve worked in private practice, schools, nonprofits, and large healthcare systems, which has given me a well-rounded understanding of how stress, transitions, and relationships shape our lives. Many of the people I work with describe feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply in need of a space where they can talk freely and feel truly heard. I specialize in supporting clients who are managing stress—whether it’s showing up in parenting, relationships, work, or major life changes. My approach is supportive and collaborative. Together, we’ll explore what’s been weighing on you, develop healthier ways to cope, and work toward a greater sense of balance, clarity, and self-understanding.
Hi, I’m Erica — a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Texas with more than 19 years of experience helping individuals and families navigate life’s ups and downs.
First session
Our first session is about helping you feel comfortable, heard, and supported. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy and begin to understand your experiences—at your pace, with no pressure to share everything at once. As we continue working together, we’ll focus on what matters most to you and develop practical strategies to help you move forward. My approach is client-centered and tailored to your needs, offering tools and insights that support growth, self-awareness, and well-being.
Strengths
One of my greatest strengths is supporting individuals and families as they navigate stress, relationship challenges, and the demands of everyday life. I offer a compassionate, grounded approach shaped by both professional experience and real-life insight. My work is practical, collaborative, and focused on helping clients move forward with confidence and clarity.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is someone who feels overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, relationship difficulties, or the weight of life transitions. You might be feeling stuck, struggling to manage stress, or simply in need of someone to listen without judgment. Although I work with men as well, my passion lies in helping women navigate the complexities of life's ups and downs. Hormonal changes, identity shifts, and the emotional weight of caregiving often go unspoken. I provide a space where your full experience is seen, heard, and taken seriously.
Treatment methods
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I often use a Solution-Focused approach to help clients move toward the changes they want to see in their lives. Rather than spending too much time on what’s gone wrong, we focus on what’s going right — your strengths, resources, and the small steps that can lead to big shifts. This approach helps clients feel empowered, hopeful, and capable of creating meaningful change.
Integrative
In this approach, I combine techniques from various modalities to tailor treatment to each client’s needs.
