The remarkable moments and the the difficult ones ( in some obvious ways or in subtle ways that sometimes sneak up on us) can cause us to go through life merely surviving or struggling, often feeling alone. It doesn't stop there. Often the life and soul work is also challenging (but rewarding process) , that can make you feel alone too!
My role is to fill in that gap. You do not need to be alone. The work should be experienced in a safe, loving, and understanding environment. As a holder of your pain, your hope, and your light, let me stand by your side and empower you to face obstacles and challenges. Let us go beyond surviving this life, but healing our hearts and mind so we can love and enjoy the moments we have right now, the best we can.
Would you like to feel more in control and empowered in your life? Have more self-love and the self-awareness to recognize and understand your thoughts, emotions, and beliefs?
If so, I am the therapist for you! Working with me, you will gain a deeper understanding and mastery of your inner world. I will assist you in cultivating self-love, self-awareness, and self-empowerment. Together, we will strengthen your ability to regulate your emotions, thoughts, actions, and relationships. My goal as your therapist is to have you feeling and acting with supreme love and confidence.
With a seasoned background in military life, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with service members and their families—supporting them as they navigate the evolving landscape of military culture and its impact on relationships, identity, and transition. My twenty years of service as an Army chaplain shaped my understanding of resilience, loss, and the power of story in healing. Those experiences continue to inform my work as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and AAMFT Approved Supervisor.
Whether you’re seeking support as an individual, couple, or family, I will walk alongside you as you re‑vision your story in ways that feel authentic and empowering. My approach integrates Narrative Therapy, Solution‑Focused Therapy, CBT, and Family Systems perspectives, always centering your voice and values. Together, we’ll explore the beliefs that have shaped your current story, gently deconstruct what no longer serves you, and open space for new, life‑giving possibilities.
I believe therapy is a collaborative process—one that honors your lived experience and invites growth through curiosity and compassion. Our work will focus on listening deeply, identifying patterns that keep you stuck, and cultivating the kind of change that aligns with your preferred future. Whether you’re navigating transition, relational strain, or identity shifts, I offer a grounded, empathetic space where your story matters.
It’s an honor to join clients in this process of re‑authoring their lives, finding coherence amid change, and discovering renewed meaning in the next page of their story.

In December 2025, I earned my Clinical license in Maryland (LCSW-C). I like talking with people--but more importantly, listening to people. To me, therapy is a block of time. It is an opportunity for people to talk to someone who is not a parent, brother, sister, spouse or even best friend. My goal is to listen to you and to help you consider options in your life.
It sounds like you're describing feelings that can be incredibly tough to deal with. Experiencing sadness, low energy, negative thoughts, and isolation can be overwhelming. I want you to know that you're not alone in feeling this way, and it's okay to seek help. Together, we can explore the underlying causes of these emotions and work towards finding ways to regain your interest in the activities you once enjoyed.

My work centers around supporting Black and marginalized communities in healing from racial trauma, regulating their nervous systems, and building skills for emotional wellness.

I use mindfulness, somatic (body-based) practices, and positive psychology tools to help clients manage stress, process life experiences, and move toward the life they want.
Beyond therapy, I’ve designed programs and trained other professionals in trauma-informed care, stress management, and culturally-responsive mental health practices. I’m passionate about making wellness accessible — especially for those often left out of traditional systems of care.
Most of all, I believe you are the expert of your story. My role is to guide, support, and offer tools — so you can feel more grounded, more whole, and more like yourself.
I’m a builder by nature—flexible but relentlessly committed to helping you move from stuck to steady progress. My style is laid back but no-nonsense because therapy has to be functional for you. With years of experience, I’ve learned certain things are true for everyone – we all want to feel the stability the comes with owning our circumstances and achieving our goals. You’ll learn to trust your problem-solving skills because I’ll show you how to assess the situation, identify the steps you need to take and see real, meaningful change. Will there be unexpected twists and turns in the process? Absolutely but you’ll be fine because you’ve got a plan as unique as you are. Let’s talk about it!

If you can read this, you made the first step. Congratulations. Seeking therapy is hard. Most people delay and tell themselves that whatever they are experiencing must be the way life is. Chances are if you have reached the point to begin exploring therapy, counseling can help make your life better. While therapy is often hard, it can be an enjoyable and uplifting experience as well. I believe that you cannot laugh without a combination of insight and relief. You can expect some humor in most sessions.
I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor for over 20 years. In that time I have worked with men, women, teens, and families on a wide variety of issues. Sometimes that work simply involved helping them through a particular incident or life change that overwhelmed them. Other times our work together centered around longstanding issues of depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction.
In addition to traditional cognitive behavioral therapy, I also offer a fourth-wave therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). I have found this technique to be highly effective in helping people with trauma and or anxiety. Our minds and bodies are connected. Anyone who has experienced a tight neck and shoulders or an upset stomach when they were stressed knows this. EFT uses acupressure (done by the client) and cognitive interventions to provide fast and effective relief.
With over 20 years of clinical experience, I am ready to help you through the challenges you are facing. In addition to counseling, I also provide vocational testing, coaching, and consulting.
I provide both Christian and secular counseling depending on the needs of my clients.
For clients with high level confidentiality concerns due to corporate or clearance issues, there are ways we can do EFT without you ever speaking out loud about events.
