I focus on a person-centered approach to create a compassionate and nonjudgmental environment where your voice is prioritized. I use techniques such as motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and positive psychology to help you discover your strengths, set meaningful goals, and foster lasting well-being. You deserve to be heard, understood, and empowered, and I am honored to accompany you on this journey. I have a listing on Psychology Today where you can learn more.
Starting therapy can evoke feelings of both hope and uncertainty. That's why your first session with me is designed to be grounding, gentle, and collaborative. We will take the time to get to know each other, exploring what led you to seek therapy, what you want to work on, and what goals are meaningful to you. I will ask thoughtful, open-ended questions, but there is no pressure to have everything figured out right away. This is your space, and we will move at your pace. My conversational and supportive style is designed to ease first-session nerves and establish trust from the beginning. Together, we will start laying the foundation for a therapeutic relationship built on acceptance, clarity, and authentic connection.
Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. Seeking support is a courageous step, and this space is designed to provide compassion, curiosity, and hope. With over two decades of experience in advocacy, crisis support, and community care, I offer a person-centered, conversational approach that recognizes each person’s intrinsic value. My practice incorporates the latest therapeutic advancements and educational standards. Therapy with me is an opportunity to explore your story at your own pace, set meaningful goals, and feel truly seen, supported, and empowered.
My ideal client is ready to take a brave step toward personal growth, healing, or self-discovery. They might be navigating life transitions, seeking deeper meaning, recovering from emotional wounds, or yearning to feel more connected to themselves. I work with individuals who are curious, reflective, and willing to explore their thoughts and emotions, fostering a safe and supportive space for them to do so.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I utilize Mindfulness-based therapy, which, when thoughtfully integrated into an eclectic approach, doesn’t replace other models—it amplifies them. By helping clients become more present, less reactive, and more accepting of their internal experience, mindfulness enhances insight, emotional regulation, and therapeutic flexibility.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I also utilize CBT. In explaining CBT I use a trauma informed lens to explain and guide you toward clarity. “Imagine your thoughts are like a pair of glasses. If the lenses are distorted—like overly critical or anxious—you’re going to see the world in a way that makes you feel worse. CBT helps us clean the lenses a bit. We look at the thoughts you’re having, ask whether they’re accurate or helpful, and then build new ways of thinking that lead to better emotional and behavioral outcomes.”

My experience with Anastasia was very helpful. She is compassionate, patient, and make me feel heard. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a supportive and understanding therapist.
