Hello! I’m Jennifer, an individual therapist dedicated to helping adults navigate their personal challenges. I have experience working with individuals facing various issues, including depression, anxiety, interpersonal relationships, and different forms of abuse, such as physical, sexual, and emotional trauma. My approach to therapy is built on empathy and compassion, creating a safe space for clients to explore their thoughts and emotions without judgment. I understand that everyone’s journey is unique, and processing feelings is a crucial step toward healing and personal growth. I incorporate a range of evidence-based techniques in my practice, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practices. These methods help clients develop healthier coping strategies and build resilience. Together, we identify individual strengths and obstacles while setting meaningful goals for the future. I am committed to empowering my clients, guiding them on their paths to healing and self-discovery. It’s incredibly fulfilling to witness their progress and growth as they overcome challenges and embrace positive changes in their lives.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, the focus will be on creating a comfortable and safe environment for you. We’ll start by discussing your reasons for seeking therapy and any specific challenges or feelings you want to explore. It’s an opportunity for you to share your story and what brought you to this point. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences, thoughts, and emotions, but you’re welcome to share at your own pace. We'll also discuss your goals for therapy and any expectations you have. It’s important that you feel heard and understood; this session is about building rapport and trust. I’ll explain the therapeutic process, address any questions or concerns you might have, and together we can outline what you hope to achieve. Ultimately, the aim is to establish a foundation for our work together as we embark on this journey of self-exploration and healing.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength is my ability to connect and build rapport with my clients. The therapeutic relationship is the first step to healing for clients. I am also able to provide my clients with a nonjudgmental safe place to start their journey to healing.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I have a deep understanding of the complexities that come with interpersonal relationships and the struggles that can arise from various forms of trauma, whether it be physical, sexual, or emotional. My experience has taught me that each person's journey is different, and I approach therapy with empathy and compassion. I believe in creating a safe and welcoming space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. This exploration is crucial for healing and personal growth, and I want you to feel comfortable as we navigate this journey together. I am particularly well-suited for individuals who are seeking to make sense of their feelings and experiences, whether you're facing anxiety that keeps you from fully engaging in life or you're dealing with past traumas that continue to affect your well-being. I understand that acknowledging these feelings can be challenging, but taking that first step is an integral part of the healing process. My ideal client is open to self-exploration and willing to engage in the therapeutic process. They may be facing specific challenges or struggles, such as relationship issues, emotional distress, or past trauma, and are seeking guidance to navigate these difficulties. This client values a safe and trusting environment where they can express themselves freely and openly. They are motivated to set and work toward personal goals, and they understand that therapy is a collaborative process. Ideally, they are ready to invest time and effort into their personal growth and healing journey, and they are willing to communicate any questions or concerns that arise during the therapeutic process. Flexibility, a desire for change, and a willingness to explore their experiences are key traits of an ideal client.
