About me

“It’s Okay to not be Okay”. I am a passionate advocate for Mental Health wellness. My goal is to create a safe space to help to heal in a nurturing environment while finding balance through self-care, empowerment, and healing. With positivity provided to motivate self awareness and growth; while focusing on strengths and be guided, heard and understood to find who you really are and the capabilities you possess. With the vision of breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health and creating a sacred space for healing within the community. My passion is to support those facing adversity and guiding individuals thru life stressors pertaining to self-esteem and self worth, grief and loss, managing anxiety and depression, trauma, healthy relationships, stress management and suicidal behaviors. Through an integrative and holistic approach I provide a variety of tools so you learn to cope with stressors outside of therapy while learning to process them within therapy. The Healing Powell nurtures the mind, body, and spirit while empowering individuals to heal, grow, and thrive.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll take things at your pace. You can expect a warm, judgment-free space where you can share what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain. We’ll explore your story, talk about your goals, and begin identifying the strengths and coping tools you already have. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, supported, and understood from the very beginning. Together, we’ll create a plan that fits your unique needs blending conversation, mindfulness, and practical strategies to help you start your healing journey with intention and care.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out most about my therapeutic approach is the genuine connection I build with each client. I provide a warm, supportive space where you can feel seen, heard, and valued exactly as you are. My clients often share that they appreciate my calm presence, authenticity, and ability to make difficult conversations feel safe and manageable. I combine evidence based practices with creativity and compassion, helping clients explore their emotions, develop coping skills, and rediscover their inner strengths. Whether we’re working through life transitions, stress, or emotional healing, my goal is to empower you to move forward with clarity, confidence, and hope.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m passionate about supporting individuals who are ready to heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves. My ideal clients are those navigating life transitions, stress, anxiety, grief, or feeling stuck and wanting more balance and peace. Many of my clients are caregivers, professionals, or creatives who spend so much time supporting others that they’ve forgotten to care for themselves. I work best with people who are open to exploring mindfulness, self-compassion, and new ways of thinking. Together, we’ll focus on building emotional awareness, healthy boundaries, and a deeper sense of self worth helping you move toward the life you deserve with confidence and calm.

My treatment methods

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I often integrate mindfulness therapy to help clients slow down, breathe, and reconnect with themselves. Mindfulness is about being present and aware of your thoughts and emotions without judgment. Together, we use simple practices like deep breathing, grounding, and guided reflection to reduce stress, increase self awareness, and promote emotional balance. I blend mindfulness with other approaches such as cognitive behavioral techniques, creative wellness, and strengths based therapy. This creates a calm, supportive space where you can heal, grow, and build skills that extend beyond our sessions into everyday life.

Strength-Based

I use strengths based treatment to focus on helping you recognize and build on the strengths you already have. A strengths based approach means we look at what’s working in your life, your resilience, your values, your creativity, and your ability to overcome challenges and use those qualities as the foundation for growth and healing. Rather than focusing only on what feels “wrong” or broken, we explore the positive qualities and resources that make you who you are. My goal is to help you see yourself through a compassionate and empowering lens, so you can gain confidence, feel supported, and create meaningful change in your life.
