New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 20 years of experience, and clients often describe me as warm, supportive and easy to talk to. I am also a Registered Nurse. This unique combination works well for patients with chronic or acute medical conditions. I use an eclectic evidenced-based approach so we can tailor therapy to your unique needs. I offer you a safe space to work through life's challenges. My goal is to help you feel understood, empowered and equipped to create meaningful change.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
The first session focuses on understanding your concerns, your history, and your goals. We'll talk about what brought you in, what you hope to get from therapy, and I will ask some questions to get to know you better. There is no pressure to share more than you're ready for. We'll also discuss how I work and what future sessions might look like.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I bring 20 years of experience, a warm and supportive presence and an eclectic, flexible approach to therapy. I specialize in helping clients facing substance use challenges, medical issues and LGBTQ+ identity concerns. My strength is creating a safe, grounded environment where you feel understood and where real change can happen.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I'm especially well positioned to support clients navigating substance use challenges, chronic or acute medical conditions and those within the LGBTQ+ community. Especially those coming out later in life.
Eclectic
My approach is flexible and personalized. Instead of sticking to one type of therapy, I use a blend of evidence-base methods depending on what you need at each stage. Some sessions might focus on coping skills, others on exploring patterns or healing past experiences. This way, therapy grows with you.
