I am a licensed mental health clinician with over 25 years of experience in Child Welfare, and Outpatient Mental Health providing in home services to families, and private practice providing individual and family therapy. I attended the University of Maryland School of Social Work for my Masters in Clinical Social Work in Baltimore in 1997. I currently provide telehealth therapy to adults ages 18 + years old experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, low self-esteem, burnout from career, family responsibilities, and relationships, problems in their marriage, family or personal life. I strive to create a safe, respectful space where individuals feel heard, empowered, and supported in their journey toward emotional well-being.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is all about getting to know you. We’ll take time to talk about what’s been going on, what brought you to therapy, and what you hope to get out of it. I want you to feel that you can exhale, be honest, and feel supported. From there, we’ll build a plan together that helps you in reaching your goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have over 25 years in the mental health field and have experience in a variety of settings as noted above. While I only work with adults 18+, I have worked with people of all ages from children as young as 3 years old to adults up to 80 years old. I love working with clients that are eager for change and need tools to make that happen.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

If you are an adult 18 years + and you have a strong desire to work on yourself, your relationships and take steps to become the best version of yourself, then I may be the right person for you. A huge focus of therapy with me is learning how to change unhealthy thoughts and behaviors, into healthy ones. We do this by learning how to identify our unhealthy thoughts, mental scripts and coping strategies, and then identifying healthy replacement thoughts and behaviors for you to practice working on until they become your go-to effective coping strategies, replacing things that no longer serve you or others. If you are ready to actively work on addressing the issues in your life that are causing problems, learn how to develop a growth mindset and overcome challenges you are facing, then please contact me and let's get you started on a new, better path.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

BT, or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. It teaches you to recognize unhelpful thinking patterns and replace them with more balanced, realistic ones. By doing this, you can change how you feel and respond to situations, leading to healthier coping and improved well-being."
