LCSW-C, 10 years of experience
I work with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship issues, etc. Learning distress tolerance skills is a way to improve the quality of life and allows for a person to be empowered. I specialize in CBT, DBT, PCT, and various other therapeutic modalities. It is my goal to create a safe place for my clients to express their thoughts and feelings, while assisting in pushing forward.
In the first session, the goal is to start to build a healthy therapeutic alliance. We will talk about some background information related to the presenting issues and start to develop goals for future sessions.
I am an expert in working with Veterans, children and adolescence, young adults, adults, SUD, and major mental illness.
I enjoy working with clients that have a goal for their therapy and willing to put in the work to make the wanted changes in their life.
CBT is considered the gold standard for therapy and it is one that I use most often. In addition to CBT, I am skilled at using Dialectal Behavior Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Behavior Therapy and many others. I assist clients in recognizing how their thoughts, feelings, and emotions influence their actions. We will work collaboratively in finding ways to manage emotions during difficult times.

I really appreciate her perspectives and her challenging questions that forced me to understand why my life is in the condition it is in and what I can do about it. She always attempts to understand my reasoning, and reveals to me a perspective that I haven’t yet thought of.
