Hi, my name is Brittney. I am a licensed clinical social worker. I have worked with all ages from children to elderly adults. I am empathetic and compassionate and I meet people where they are. I customize the therapeutic approach based on the clients needs, and I create a safe space to be able to have tough conversations.

My greatest strength as a provider is that I am very understanding and adaptable.

My goal is to equip you with tools and coping skills in order to face life’s challenges, but also be a support during your most vulnerable moments.

First session

During the first session, the most important thing is developing rapport and a sense of trust. The focus will be learning more about you and what brings you to therapy at this time and creating a care plan/goals to guide our work together.

Strengths

My greatest strength as a provider is that I am very understanding and adaptable. I approach everyone with compassion and I believe the client is the expert of their own life and I am helping to guide them in the areas that they need more support in.

Ideal clients

Client’s who need a little support, navigating life’s challenges (relationships, parenting, anxiety, etc) and needing a safe space to process and learn new coping strategies to obtain the desired outcomes.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

This is the primary treatment method I utilize because a lot of behaviors and concerns can be resolved with identifying triggers and how we respond to things and working on modifying those behaviors overtime to improve outcomes.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I think mindfulness is necessary to be intertwined into the healing process. You will gain awareness and valuable coping skills to get through some of life’s toughest stressors.

Strength-Based

A lot of the times we have the tools available, but we need support tapping into them in order to empower you to take charge of your healing.

Motivational Interviewing

Sometimes it’s helpful to process things out loud and with a little support you create your own roadmap for how to problem solve. It can feel empowering and motivating knowing you have the tools necessary to make the change or resolve an area of concern.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Sometimes we feel very intense emotions that can stop us in our tracks. We need support getting grounded again. DBT really focuses on lessoning the intensity and finding various coping strategies to get through the tough moments.
