Hi, I’m Melissa — deeply devoted social justice warrior and mental health advocate. I believe we are already whole, even in the mess, and that therapy isn’t about fixing or taking parts of you away — it’s about curiosity, self-acceptance, and learning how to move through life with authenticity and self-compassion. I bring both lived experience and heart into the therapy space, especially for those who’ve spent a lifetime feeling “too much,” “not enough,” or out of place. Together, we make room for all your parts, get curious about your inner world, and figure out ways of living that actually work for you. I show up with warmth, humor, and deep care, and I love helping people reconnect with their own magic, trust themselves more fully, and create lives that feel more spacious, aligned, and truly theirs. You don’t need to be fixed — you get to be understood.

Hi there! I am a therapist that has worked and lived on the east coast and the west coast utilizing my Florida and California license. I have worked with an array of different populations prior to becoming a therapist as I was actively involved with community health organizations, psychiatric hospitals, foster care facilities, domestic violence group homes, adult day care facilities, and crisis and text lines. Through this array of different experiences, I was given the opportunity to explore a wide array of populations and mental health disorders. I personally lost my Mother and brother to suicide and this has given me further insight into the reality of mental health situations and survival.

Hi all! Have you ever wondered what life would be like free of anxiety and depressive symptoms? Are you feeling lost and in need of a purpose? I love helping folks recover from issues like anxiety, depression, OCD and complex post-traumatic stress. Healing and recovery are possible! I will work with you to establish small achievable goals we can take baby steps toward. I can help you get to the root of the issue and teach you skills you can use all of your life in various situations. I do inner-child/ inner-adult work for those interested, but I also use the more practical REBT to help shift rigid perspectives that keep us stuck. Congratulations on taking this major step towards seeking a higher quality of life, whether for yourself or a loved one! Though your situation is unique and will require targeted goals, these past several years have left many people feeling anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, hopeless, helpless and/or “mentally foggy.” Sometimes, entire families are scrambling to figure out how to manage the ripple effect of one member’s mental illness, and how to help maintain a quality of life for everyone involved. As an LMFT, I help clients with topics such as recovery from trauma, adjustment to major life changes, managing mood dysregulation, stabilizing activities of daily living, and implementing healthy coping skills. Even events generally considered to be “good” (such as buying a house, getting a promotion, or getting married) rate high on the stress index. Your list of concerns will be unique to you and will require a targeted approach to building goals. I am especially interested in coping with grief/loss/trauma, reconstructing lives according to choices rather than reactions, blended and bi/multi-cultural families, our LGBTQ communities, the multi-generational ripple effect of mental illness on families, and the dual diagnosis of developmental disability and mental illness. While talk therapy and EMDR are my primary modalities, I believe strongly in the healing effects of creativity, visualization and somatic work.

Hi! My name is Crystal Villanueva and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Southern California and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I have 14 years of experience working with adults, adolescents, couples, and children experiencing the challenges of anxiety, depression, grief, family conflict, relationship challenges, and intimate partner violence. My approach to therapy is grounded in the spirit of Humanistic therapy. Humanistic Therapy is based on the core belief that people are good at heart and capable of making the right choices for themselves. In therapy, this belief leads me to focus on each individual’s unique point of view and how this view can impact their choices. It further emphasizes the importance of being our authentic selves to live the most fulfilling life. I strive to create a safe environment to help clients feel comfortable to express their thoughts/emotions. I am genuine, friendly, nonjudgmental, empathetic, and interactive. I believe I am easy to talk to as I am casual in my style, but direct and focused when it comes to our work together. My journey to becoming a therapist began with my own therapy that I received as a youth and young adult; it was life-changing. I worked with a therapist that was completely accepting and non-judgmental of my faults/shortcomings and helped me work past and accept them. Because of this experience, I wanted to give back and provide the same nonjudgment safe space, and acceptance to others.

Hi, I’m Colette, a Licensed Professional Counselor. I know starting therapy can feel like a big step, and I’m glad you’re here. I provide a calm, supportive space where you can feel safe to share your story and begin making sense of what you’re going through. Grief work is at the heart of my practice. Whether you’re coping with the loss of a loved one, a major life change, or a more personal kind of loss, I’m here to support you. I also work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, addiction and recovery, maternal mental health, and life transitions. In our work together, we’ll explore your experiences at a pace that feels right for you. We can look at patterns from the past, while also building tools to help you manage the present. I use mindfulness and CBT techniques to support you in understanding your thoughts and finding ways to cope with stress. In grief work, we may also create meaningful rituals or practices to honor your loved ones while caring for yourself. I believe it’s possible to hold both pain and joy, and I will support you in finding that balance. If you feel ready, I invite you to take the next step and schedule an appointment. I would be honored to work with you.

I started helping those who are seeking to up-level their experiences and shine as their true and authentic selves in 2019. My journey first started in residential treatment facilities where I held space for those in early recovery from substance use disorders. This population ranged from men's only, women's only and LGBTQ+ Many of these individuals also struggled with anxiety, depression, trauma and eating disorders. I have also had the opportunity to work with adolescents at risk of sex trafficking. This work is extremely rewarding as the clients are at an age where they are most influential and willing. I am a deeply spiritual person and practice in the study of yoga and meditation and participate in somatic healings such as Kundalini Light Intergration (KALI) and breathworks. I am also a level two Reiki practitioner (training to become a master) and a certified personal trainer. When I am not holding space for healing, I enjoy being in the outdoors, surfing, climbing, reading and cooking nutritious and fun to eat meals. I hope to continue the journey of providing a safe space for individuals where healing can occur for years to come. I offer sessions both early in the morning (5am - 7am) and later in the evening (6pm - 9pm) to accommodate those who work nine to five or those who just prefer early morning or evening therapy sessions.

Hi, I’m Patricia Hernandez, LCSW. I help mothers and women find their footing in the beautiful, messy transition of parenthood. My therapy style is a mix of deep root-work (Psychodynamic) and real-life tools (PCIT & CBT), always grounded in a Somatic and cultural perspective. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy; I meet you where you are to challenge the systems that weigh you down and celebrate the traditions that lift you up. Let’s work together to nurture your healing and your family’s future.
