My approach is to use authenticity and openness to build a relationship based on trust and respect. I genuinely care about what has gotten you to this point and I want to help you process through whatever in life is causing you distress. I believe in meeting you where you are. I have a strong background in working with those struggling with anxiety, grief, and bereavement. The majority of my career has been working in medical settings helping individuals and families with chronic and complex illnesses or recent traumas. I have experience in working with loss- of a loved one, of self- identity, of hope in the future. I am here to help you cope, set healthy boundaries, and improve your sense of self compassion. My goal is to provide a safe space to help my clients process whatever in life is causing you distress and together build a foundation to help you navigate both now and in the future.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session will be getting to know one another and assessing if we are a good fit. I believe the most important part of therapy a strong therapeutic relationship. I will ask questions about what made you decide to start therapy at this time in your life and get to know your story a little. I encourage you to ask questions of you to assure you I am a good fit for you.

The treatment methods and tools I utilize

My skillset utilizes Cognitive Behavioral, Grief counseling, and a Strength-Based approach. Reframing our thought patterns helps us think realistically in a balanced way and how we think about events is more important than the events themselves. My hope is to help you see the value you already hold.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Talking about death isn't everyone's comfort zone but uniquely it is mine. Over the last 10 years, I have processed with individuals and families the uncertainties and anxiety that death brings. My greatest strength is being able to talk about losses. Sometimes if it is a prolonged illness that takes place, loss starts before someone has died. Loss of identity, loss of an unfulfilled dream, and loss of safety are all common emotions. After a death occurs, the losses continue as individuals struggle to make sense of their new reality. Helping individuals process and cope with their loss has always been intuitive to me and if this is something you're going through, I am here to help.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

The majority of my career has been helping clients navigate difficult times in their life journey. My ideal client is someone who feels ready to invest time in themselves.
