Have you been struggling with anxiety and/or lack of direction? Are you critical of yourself and feeling negative and sad? Do you have issues in your past you feel are impacting your present? Are you challenged by a life transition? Change is hard and not always smooth. Sometimes we get in our own way toward the life we want to live. I can help gain perspective and look at whether your thoughts and behaviors are helping you along your path or hindering your way. We can look at how patterns, thoughts and behaviors that might have been adaptive from a less than perfect past might be getting in your way now. I utilize a Cognitive Behavioral approach to look at thoughts and behaviors and what would serve you best. Incorporating positive psychology, support and compassion you will have assistance on life’s sometimes/occasionally meandering path.
The first session is a time to meet each other and for you to have a chance to voice your struggles and goals.
When dealing with anxiety, depression and self criticism it helps to have someone there with you on your journey who is there just for you. I want to empower you to love and accept yourself while becoming the person you want to be.
Anxiety, parenting, life transitions, young adults, self critical clients, older adults
I utilize a Cognitive Behavioral approach. Our thoughts influence how we feel and behave. By taking time to examine what we are telling ourselves and if those thoughts are true and helpful or negative and unhelpful can help us break through old patterns of thinking and feeling. We can learn to be kind to ourselves and allow our best self to come through.
