I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California. I have been practicing since 2011. I have experience in the areas of depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief. I have been trained in a range of research-based practices including Managing and Adaptive Practice, Depression Treatment Quality Improvement, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Military Focus. My passion is working alongside my clients to provide support and help bring healing in their lives. I take a client-centered approach, utilizing strength-based, solution-focused, and cognitive behavioral techniques to help my clients improve their overall quality of life.
I aim to provide a compassionate and nurturing environment to connect with my clients. In our first session we will briefly go over consent forms. I work on gaining a comprehensive understanding of my clients by exploring your concerns, symptoms, and current and past experiences. I collaborate with you in creating treatment goals, and identifying the best approach to address challenges. Therapy is not easy, but I assure you I will be right beside you as you take the steps towards healing and growth through the therapeutic process.
I am open and honest, which helps cultivate authentic connections with my clients. I create a safe and supportive environment to help clients feel comfortable expressing themselves and discussing life challenges. I take a client-centered approach, and in doing so I meet my clients where they are, tailor treatment to meet individual needs, and collaborate with them throughout treatment.
I love working with adults who are struggling with life challenges. They are eager to improve and better themselves, but need assistance in finding the right tools to achieve this.
I've been using CBT in my practice for the past 12yrs. I help clients identify and challenge reoccurring unhelpful thoughts. I then assist clients in changing their thinking pattern to help them respond to challenging situations in a more effective way. In using these skills, this will help decrease depression, anxiety, and stress.
I've been using TFCBT in my practice for the past 11yrs. I help clients learn skills to cope with trauma. I guide clients in creating their trauma narrative and cognitive process their trauma. This helps with desensitization and decreases trauma symptoms.
