I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to helping individuals who are struggling with current life challenges. My expertise is treating Trauma using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, EMDR. I started my career working at a PTSD Clinic which became my passion. Over the years I have worked with many populations treating different mental health diagnosis in medical hospitals as a Medical Social Worker and mental health field including In-patient psychiatric Hospitals and Outpatient clinics. I have 22 years of experience treating a wide range of Mental Health Diagnosis including PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, and Grief.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will include getting more information about understanding what you are struggling with and what you are hoping to gain from therapy. This session will help us to get to know each other better. Furthermore, our work will be tailored to your needs and include helping you achieve personal goals. I can help you gain a more positive outlook on life to decrease your current distress, feel less stuck, and less overwhelmed. You can have the opportunity to process your painful memories and trauma, gain awareness of your patterns of thinking that no longer benefit you.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have been using EMDR treatment in my practice with great success. I have been working with clients who have been struggling with overcoming trauma and diagnoses of PTSD. I will provide a safe and non-judgmental environment where you can feel heard, achieve personal growth and happiness, find solutions, and see results.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I specialize in treating trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, career challenges and work stress, life transitions, relationship issues, communication skills, and issues related to self-esteem and confidence. I utilize different treatment modalities with flexibility to match your needs and treatment plan including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). EMDR treats mental health conditions that have developed due to traumatic events in your past and the memories that have stayed with you. It’s best known for treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), but it is also instrumental in treating recent traumatic memories as well as many other psychological disorders that can be traced to trauma or adverse life events.
