I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have 13 years of experience working with children (age range 0-18) and their families. My recent focus has been trauma and Infant Mental Health, providing dyadic treatment to families. I am a trauma informed clinician with an attachment based lens. I have been trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Child Parent Psychotherapy.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I want to know what brings you in for treatment. Why now? I like to start with building a relationship with my clients. This is a time we both get to see if we are a good fit for each other. I do ask lots of questions about your past to see what type of treatment you would benefit from.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths is my compassion and genuine human capacity to building a trusting relationship.

My treatment methods

Child Parent Psychotherapy

Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) was created to help kids 0-6 years of age. I have been trained and rostered CPP therapist. This modality of treatment is evidence based, trauma focused treatment. I have 6 years of experience working with families with trauma.

EMDR

I am a trained therapist. I have a couple of years of experience with EMDR. I provide this treatment modality in person.

Trauma Informed Care

I understand how trauma can impact a person starting in utero to adulthood and what symptoms are trauma related. I have been trained in multiple trauma modalities to provide treatment. I educate my clients on trauma and what happens in our bodies when we experience a trauma and how that experience can continue to manifest in our everyday living.

Psychoeducation

I educate my clients on mental health and how that impacts our living environment, families, work, personal experiences. We discuss symptoms and behaviors of their mental health and how our internal workings are communicating with us and with others daily.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have used CBT throughout my career. I used this treatment modality primary in individual.
