I think of therapy as part detective work, part puzzle: laying out the pieces of a life and tracing the threads between things that never seemed connected until you see them side by side. I believe a good clinician is a moldable one, someone who adapts to the person in front of them rather than fitting people into a fixed approach. My work is collaborative, insight-oriented, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert on yourself. Together, we explore the patterns, stories, and relational blueprints that shaped how you see yourself and the world, and we work to rewrite the ones that no longer serve you. I work with individuals and couples across the lifespan, and I am proudly affirming of the LGBTQIA+, kink, and BDSM communities. I specialize in trauma, identity, depression, anxiety, relationships, and sexual health, and I bring the same nonjudgmental, culturally humble approach to every client I see. I also offer faith-integrated counseling for those who wish to bring spirituality into their healing. Whether you arrive ready to dive in or full of resistance, I'll meet you where you are. I am bilingual and bicultural, and I welcome clients who move between both languages and worlds.

Emotions are the language of energy. In this language, there are critical messages to be understood. Emotions communicate what your needs are. Your mind translates this information so that needs can be met. Sometimes, it feels unsafe to acknowledge your emotions so the intellect, instead, pushes emotions down. With emotions silenced, you become deprived of connection to yourself, to others and needs go unmet. In this deprivation, you also lose authenticity. The call to acknowledgement returns, again and again, louder and louder. We can collaborate together to learn this language and to recover the gold of your authentic self. Its already there, where it has always been. Who you really are is full of potential, courageous, confident and quite worthy of connection. When you know this, there is an energy that arises as well. A motivation for action. Wherever you are at on this journey, is where I want to meet you. What a victory that you have already taken the brave step of searching for a therapist. Celebrate that. Perhaps the next movement is to reach out. We can explore next incremental steps from there.

I help high-functioning adults reconnect with themselves and learn to trust their own judgment again. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable adults who have spent years taking care of everyone else while quietly struggling themselves. They often appear successful on the outside but privately feel anxious, emotionally exhausted, overwhelmed, or disconnected from who they used to be. You may be recovering from betrayal, navigating a difficult relationship or divorce, struggling with perfectionism or people-pleasing, healing from trauma, or facing a major life transition. Somewhere along the way, you may have begun second-guessing yourself, losing confidence in your instincts, or wondering why life feels so much harder than it looks from the outside. My approach is warm, practical, and collaborative. Together, we'll make sense of the patterns keeping you stuck, calm your nervous system, reduce shame, strengthen healthy boundaries, and build the confidence to make choices that align with your values instead of fear or self-doubt. Therapy should leave you feeling understood, supported, and equipped with practical tools that make everyday life feel lighter.

I believe therapy works best when you feel understood as a whole person—not simply as a diagnosis or list of symptoms. I’m less focused on what’s “wrong” and more interested in what you’ve been through, how it has shaped you, and how those experiences may influence the way you cope, connect, and move through life. My approach is warm, curious, trauma-informed, and collaborative. I work with adults who have experienced trauma in many forms, including childhood trauma, interpersonal violence, abuse, neglect, traumatic loss, accidents, medical trauma, and other experiences that have left them feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck. I also support people navigating the lasting effects of trauma, including anxiety, depression, substance use, relationship difficulties, attachment wounds, and challenges with self-worth or emotional regulation. I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches and tailor our work to your needs, goals, and what feels most helpful. Together, we’ll create a space where you can feel accepted, better understand yourself, and gently challenge patterns that may be keeping you from the life or relationships you want. My hope is that therapy helps you feel more grounded, connected, and authentically yourself.

Congratulations, starting the journey towards seeking help is one of the biggest step. My name is Assaf Jaffe and over the past 20 years it has been my privilege to walk alongside client working to make changes. Having trained in Holistic Therapy at Native American Health Center I have tremendous experience with trauma, anxiety, depression and treating addictive disorders. In these communities I learned the importance of connecting with my clients on a deep interpersonal basis. I also learned that having a variety of effective techniques to reduce symptoms and problems was vitally effective once a solid relation was established. As a strength based Psychologist, I strongly feel I can engage my client in the aspects of their life that are already most successful and utilize these tools to address their current problems. IF you think solution focused individual, couples or family therapy can benefit you currently, I believe I am the ideal therapist for you.

I provide virtual therapy using an integrated, whole-person approach that focuses not only on navigating difficult periods, but also on maintaining progress, building resilience, and supporting long-term mental wellness. Therapy can be both restorative and preventative, and I work with clients across all stages of that process. I treat a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, personality-related patterns, and life transitions. My clinical background includes experience with higher-acuity and complex cases—such as forensic populations, individuals in psychiatric settings, and those managing co-occurring mental and medical conditions. While my current practice is fully virtual, I am comfortable addressing difficult or sensitive topics and provide a space where clients can speak openly without hesitation. My approach is direct, engaged, and collaborative. I prioritize building strong, trusting relationships and creating a setting where clients feel understood and supported. I recognize that progress is not always linear and work consistently with clients through both setbacks and growth. I am multilingual and can provide therapy in English, Lithuanian, and conversational Hungarian languages.

All things are interconnected. To feel better, you have to act better. To feel better, you have to think better. To think better, you have to feel better. To act better, you have to think better. To think, feel, and act better, you have to care for your physical health. To care for your physical health, you have to think, feel, and act better. Each has a corresponding effect on the other. However, the aspect of ourselves that we have the most direct control of is what we do, our acting. While we can influence other people, we cannot control other people. A great source of conflict and unhappiness results from our efforts to control others. If you want better relationships, the only thing we can control is what we do, how we choose to relate. We are responsible for what we do. Others are responsible for what they do. Accepting this fundamental reality and thinking, feeling, and acting in accordance with it is how we increase our experience of power, freedom, belonging, meaning and, very importantly, fun. My professional experience includes over 30 years of post-Master’s clinical work, including leadership experience in foster care, chemical abuse and addiction, inpatient and outpatient mental health services, and crisis intervention, de-escalation, and hospitalization. I am experienced in working with ages three through the elderly. I have worked extensively with youth and families, diverse populations and life issues, providing services in various settings, including family homes, schools, juvenile detention facilities, jails, outpatient clinics, and inpatient psychiatric facilities.

You're here for a reason. The right fit can change the outcome. Maybe I can help. Whether it's the same fight on repeat, a habit you can't shake, a loss, or just not feeling like yourself, I invite you to keep reading to learn more about me and my approach. Maybe your life is working in most of the ways that count—work, relationships, the things you care about—but something keeps getting in the way. The same argument. Anxiety that doesn't match the situation. Shutting down when someone gets close, or blowing up and regretting it later. You might understand exactly what you're doing and still do it anyway. Or maybe something happened, like an affair coming to light, a relationship ending, or losing someone, and the way you've always handled things isn't working anymore. Therapy with me has direction. We'll know what we're working toward and check in regularly on what's changing and what's still getting in the way. What we work on in session should carry into your life, whether that means noticing a pattern, trying a different response, or having a conversation you've been avoiding. You'll know you're making progress when you catch a familiar pattern sooner, understand what's happening inside you instead of just reacting, stay steadier in hard conversations, set boundaries and make decisions with less second-guessing, recover from setbacks faster, and handle things on your own that you used to need help with. Progress doesn't mean you'll never feel anxious, angry, or stuck again. It means you're better at handling it yourself. As that becomes consistent, we'll space sessions out and eventually wrap up. The goal is for you to need me less over time.

Reaching out for help can be a very vulnerable experience, but also a great attribute of strength and resilience. I work with individuals who have experienced trauma in their life. Whether it's from childhood neglect, sexual assault, natural disaster, sudden death or other life circumstances. Trauma often creates patterns and loops that extend into many areas of a person's life, and can be challenging and painful to navigate. Sometimes the way people survive their trauma brings them more pain, adds to the chaos, and reinforces negative beliefs that perpetuate the cycle. I work to empower clients to understand and alter unhealthy cycles to strengthen and better their lives. I am fluent in ASL American Sign Language and have worked with Deaf clients leaving domestic violence in both a shelter and outpatient therapy services. I have spent 2 years in correctional settings working with severely mentally ill patients and supporting their family members navigating having children with mental illness. I have also spent 2 years working with foster youth and foster parents in providing support to their placements, promoting healing and preserving relationships. Note that online scheduling is limited. Broader scheduling options will be available to regularly scheduling clients. Please also note that I do not provide opinions about disability or fitness to return to work or other activities for clients who are not well-established at the time that the request for such opinion is made.

My work centers queer/trans, BIPOC, chronically ill or disabled, and other multiply marginalized clients navigating individual, interpersonal, and intergenerational trauma shaped by systemic violence and survival within inequitable conditions. I am deeply inspired by Black feminist sci-fi writer Octavia E. Butler, whose storytelling shaped my belief that healing is a practice of imagining and building ways of living beyond forces that dominate, dehumanize, and disconnect, such as white supremacy, patriarchy, and capitalism. My therapeutic approach is relational and depth-oriented, influenced by abolition and disability justice, which reject punitive mindsets, value every body, and attend to how systemic forces shape our internal worlds, relationships and sense of self. I seek to support this work by gently uncovering coping strategies that were once necessary for survival but may no longer align with who you are becoming or how you want to relate to yourself and others. This approach resonates with people seeking honest self-reflection, emotional accountability, ongoing exploration and deeper self-understanding.

*Currently accepting female clients only* Therapy has changed, and thankfully so. The old idea of spilling your heart out to someone who feels distant, judgmental, or out of touch does not work anymore. So let’s not do that. I’m Jessica Milgrome, a licensed mental health clinician with 15 years of experience, a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, and a National Certified Counselor. I work with women navigating anxiety, overthinking, emotional overwhelm, relationship stress, burnout, and major life transitions. My approach is modern, direct, and judgment-free. Therapy with me is a real conversation. No awkward silence. No walking on eggshells. No wondering if you said the wrong thing. We talk openly, focus on what actually helps, and skip techniques that do not fit your real life. Sessions can be video or phone. If video feels too intense some days, that is okay. Therapy should feel supportive, practical, and human. To share a bit about myself, I’m a big fan of stand-up comedy because laughing really is life. I look forward to Mondays for Spotify’s Discover Weekly playlists and live by the mantra, “When words fail, let the music speak.” I also share my life with six dogs. I’m here to help you organize your thoughts, build confidence, set boundaries you can keep, and move forward feeling clearer and more grounded.
