New to Grow
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially when you’ve been carrying a lot on your own for a long time. I believe therapy works best when you don’t have to pretend you’re okay or have everything figured out. Together, we create a space where you can show up honestly, make sense of your experiences, and explore meaningful change at a pace that feels grounded and supportive. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and tailored to your individual needs rather than a one-size-fits-all process.
The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what’s been weighing on you, the challenges you’re facing, and what you hope to get out of the process. There’s no pressure to share everything at once or have the “right” words. My goal is to create a space that feels supportive, collaborative, and comfortable enough for you to show up as you are.
One of my greatest strengths is helping clients connect the dots between past experiences, current patterns, emotions, and relationships in a way that feels validating and empowering rather than judgmental. I’m passionate about psychoeducation and helping clients better understand themselves while building practical tools they can use outside of therapy. I also enjoy incorporating creative approaches to healing, including mindfulness, journaling, and reflective exercises that support self-expression and growth.
I work with adults navigating PTSD, depression, anxiety, ADHD, substance use, relationship challenges, and difficulty managing overwhelming emotions. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed, stuck, or exhausted from carrying so much on their own while trying to hold everything together. You may be used to showing up for everyone else while feeling disconnected from yourself. I also hold space for women’s issues and cultural experiences, recognizing that identity and environment can shape how we move through the world. I’m especially mindful of neurodivergence and tailor therapy to feel flexible, practical, and aligned with how you naturally function. Together, we focus on insight, healing, and meaningful change.
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we explore how past experiences can shape the way you view yourself, respond to stress, navigate relationships, and move through daily life. My approach focuses on building insight, self-awareness, and practical tools that create meaningful change.
EMDR
I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help clients process trauma, difficult experiences, and patterns that continue to affect the present. EMDR can help lessen the emotional weight of painful memories. I approach the process at a pace that feels grounded and supportive while helping clients build resilience along the way.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I use ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) to help clients develop a different relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions rather than feeling controlled by them. Together, we build mindfulness skills, explore personal values, and create meaningful changes that feel aligned with the life you want to live. ACT can be especially helpful for anxiety, avoidance, self-criticism, and feeling stuck.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I use mindfulness-based approaches to help clients become more aware of thoughts, emotions, and stress responses without judgment. I often incorporate grounding or breathing exercises into sessions so clients can practice these skills in real time and build tools they can carry into everyday life.
Trauma Informed Care
I provide trauma-informed care that recognizes how past experiences can continue to affect emotions, relationships, and daily life. Therapy focuses on creating safety, building coping skills, and understanding patterns that may have developed through survival and protection. When appropriate, we may also work more directly on trauma healing in a way that feels thoughtful, collaborative, and paced to your needs.
