(she/her)
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist who provides individual therapy to adults and teenagers using an eclectic framework. I know that therapy can be intimidating, especially when first seeking services. This process places you front and center in your own journey to healing and I am privileged to be able to walk alongside you as you take that step. I use various tools to assist you in reaching goals and help identify what works for you.
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and talk about what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask about your background, current challenges, and what you hope to get out of our work together. This is a chance for you to share at your own pace, and for us to start building a plan that fits your needs.
My greatest strengths as a therapist are my ability to listen deeply and connect with empathy, creating a space where clients feel truly understood and safe. I combine practical, evidence-based techniques with a warm, personalized approach, helping clients find what works best for them.
I’m best positioned to support individuals who are ready to explore their feelings and challenges with openness and curiosity. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship issues, or major life changes, I work well with clients who want practical tools alongside compassionate understanding. If you want to feel more in control, manage your emotions, and make positive changes in your life, I’m here to support you.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a type of talk therapy that helps people understand how their thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected. It teaches you how to notice negative or unhelpful thoughts, figure out if they're really true, and replace or reframe them with more balanced alternatives. It also helps you take small steps to change behaviors that might be making you feel worse. CBT gives you practical tools you can use in everyday life to feel better and handle challenges more confidently.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a type of therapy that helps people deal with difficult thoughts and feelings by learning to accept them instead of fighting them. This model reminds you that it’s okay to have uncomfortable emotions and thoughts—they’re a normal part of life—and that you can still move forward and do what matters to you. ACT helps you focus on the present moment, stay connected to your values, and take action that aligns with the kind of person you want to be, even when things feel hard.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a type of therapy that helps people heal from distressing or traumatic experiences. This approach works by helping your brain process painful memories so they don’t feel as upsetting or overwhelming. During EMDR, you briefly focus on the difficult memory while following a back-and-forth movement, such as bilateral eye movements or tapping. This process helps unlock the memory so your brain can make sense of it and reduce the emotional reactivity. The memory then feels more like something in the past, not something that controls how you feel today.
Grief therapy is a specific type of treatment that helps people cope with the pain of grief and loss. Techniques implemented through this model provides a safe space to talk about your loss, understand your emotions, and learn how to live with the grief in a healthy way. Grief therapy doesn’t try to make you forget or "get over" your loss but rather helps you process what happened, find ways to honor the memory, and gradually adjust to life without what was lost.
Solution-Focused Therapy focuses on client strengths and what’s working, rather than spending a lot of time on problems. This model can help you figure out what you want your life to look like and what small steps you can take to get there. Instead of digging deep into the past, this therapy looks at the present and future, helping you set goals and notice the progress you’re already making. It’s a positive, practical approach that encourages hope and builds confidence by showing that even small changes can lead to big results.
