Welcome! I specialize in combining EMDR training and trauma informed care with a holistic approach to help clients navigate anything from daily stresses and difficulty coping to more complex trauma resolution. I believe that therapy is about forming a meaningful connection that helps the client find strength and hope within themselves. Whether you’re seeking clarity, growth, or relief, I’m here to walk alongside you on your journey to your happiest, most fulfilled life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I truly believe that healing comes from an open and understanding therapeutic relationship in which you feel safe to honestly explore and express yourself without judgment. Together we’ll work to identify what feels important to you and where you’re looking to go. My goal is to help you feel seen, supported, and equipped to face life’s challenges. By highlighting resilience and helping to foster hope, I want every client to recognize that their goals are attainable, and change is possible.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My approach is rooted in compassion, non-judgment, and collaboration. Using humor and genuine connection, I show up wherever you are. By recognizing the good and value in every client, I work to reflect back a view of compassion that might be difficult to recognize within yourself. Working together we can not only process but repair potential negative beliefs and impacts of relationships and experiences spanning back to early childhood. Together, we’ll work towards self-discovery, healing, and creating a life aligned with what you really want.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I have experience working with clients on issues including depression, anxiety, CPTSD, eating disorders, gender/ identity, neurodivergence, family and relationship problems, self-esteem, perfectionism, and people pleasing. By incorporating my EMDR training and extensive experience working in mental health and eating disorder treatment, I strive to always create a space of compassion and understanding. Everyone deserves to be heard and understood. Whether you are an adolescent struggling to cope, a young adult in the process of identifying who you are and what you want, or an adult dealing with day to day struggles, it is never too late for healing.

My treatment methods

EMDR

EMDR is used to help people process and heal from traumatic experiences and life events. Using guided eye movements and other forms of bilateral stimulation to help the brain reprocess stuck memories, EMDR helps reduce their emotional intensity and enable healthier responses, leading to emotional and cognitive healing.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a mindfulness-based therapeutic approach that helps people accept difficult emotions and thoughts rather than fighting them. By focusing on building psychological flexibility, ACT can help foster resilience, reduce the impact of negative thoughts, and promote a meaningful, value-driven living, making it effective for issues like anxiety, depression, and stress.

Humanistic

Humanistic therapy is a client-centered approach that emphasizes personal growth, self-awareness, and the inherent potential for positive change. It focuses on creating a supportive and empathetic environment where clients can explore their feelings, values, and goals without judgment. This approach can benefit clients by enhancing self-esteem, improving relationships, and fostering a deeper understanding of themselves, making it especially effective for addressing emotional difficulties, self-identity issues, and life transitions.

Relational

importance of relationships in shaping an individual’s emotional well-being and sense of self. It focuses on understanding relational patterns, fostering authentic connections, and addressing difficulties in interpersonal dynamics. This approach can benefit clients by improving communication skills, enhancing self-awareness, and promoting healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

Compassion Focused

Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) is a therapeutic approach that helps individuals cultivate self-compassion and reduce self-criticism by addressing the brain’s threat, drive, and soothing systems. It draws on techniques from mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and evolutionary psychology to foster kindness toward oneself and others. CFT can benefit clients by reducing shame, improving emotional regulation, and building resilience, particularly for those struggling with self-esteem, anxiety, depression, or trauma.
