About
My name is Heather Brown. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been a therapist for 18 years and worked with a wide-array of clients in many walks of life. I like the curiosity of life and ways in which we can explore patterns and change and ways we can make adjustments in our lives to change future outcomes.
I have extensive trauma care experience and working with clients that have gone through a lot of stress in their lives.
I work for you and my job is to help you have an easier time on your journey through life and help you to meet your goals.
First session
Our first session will consist of a brief overview of my background so you can better understand where I come from. Then we will wander through the highlights of your life so you can teach me about the story of your life so that we can figure out together ways in which I can be helpful to you on your journey.
Strengths
I have extensive trauma care experience and working with clients that have gone through a lot of stress in their lives, including ADHD. I am an honest, direct, authentic person who genuinely wants to be helpful to others and support them with meeting their goals.
Ideal clients
I am best positioned to serve young adults through to older adults who are seeking support with life transitions, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, caregiver stress, relationship concerns, and adjustment to changes related to aging, health, or retirement. I work well with clients who are motivated for self-reflection and personal growth, as well as those who may be new to therapy and seeking a supportive, collaborative space. My approach is warm, compassionate, and client-centered, helping individuals build coping skills, improve emotional well-being, strengthen relationships, and navigate life's challenges with greater resilience and meaning.
