If you’ve been carrying more than you let others see, trying to “push through,” you’re not alone. Initially many of my clients are carrying a heavy load in secret, attempting to force themselves through burdening exhaustion every single day. They come to me feeling overwhelmed and unsure where to even begin. You may feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, or weighed down by emotions that are hard to name or understand. In therapy with me, we’ll gently begin to make sense of what you’ve been holding. We will navigate together in order to transform your heaviest burdens into a map for your future. We will identify the beliefs and patterns that keep you feeling stuck and begin building new ones that feel more empoweing. As a therapist specializing in anxiety, grief, and trauma, I will help you slow down, breathe, and reconnect with yourself. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe to explore, heal, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

My favorite book of all time is Viktor Frankl's Man's Search for Meaning. One of the many wonderful things he says in that book is "When we are no longer able to change a situation we are challenged to change ourselves." I see our work together as a team effort. Each client I see has his or her own story and unique perspective on that story, and I believe that within that story are the seeds to healing. My approach to helping my clients is in seeing each of my clients as a whole person who is struggling with something, whether it is anxiety, depression, relationships issues, substance abuse, communication, parenting, trauma, etc. Most often, it is how we perceive a situation or a struggle that defines how we deal with it or respond to it. I hope that I can help you with whatever your struggle may be, and to help you rewrite your story. I am not here to "fix" you, The work is yours to do, I am a facilitator and I provide evidenced based treatments, support and accountability., I help you gain clarity by providing a safe place to put your struggles and a place to heal and improve your overall health and wellbeing. Ultimately, my job is for you to eventually not need me.

I am a clinical social worker who provides individual therapy for adults. Over the course of my 20 plus year career, I have worked in various settings with a variety of client populations and concerns (anxiety, depression, Bipolar Disorder, self-esteem, assertive communication, adjustment to major life changes, and relationship concerns). As a therapist my role is to provide a non-judgmental, safe environment for individuals to explore their life issues and support them in their personal growth. I find that a lot of us struggle with listening to our inner critic and often beat ourselves up for past regrets, as well as spending a lot of valuable time worrying about the past and the "what if's" in the future. I hope we can work together to quiet this critic and find a way to enjoy the present. Please note that my education and experience does not include working with clients presenting with eating disorders, complex PTSD/trauma, or OCD.

Greetings! My name's Bertrona Freeman and I am a compassionate and practical therapist who supports adults navigating substance use concerns, anger, grief, trauma, emotional regulation, relationships stress, and major life transitions. My approach is grounded in helping clients feel heard, understood, and empowered while also encouraging accountability, self-awareness, and meaningful change. Something feels off, and you've been carrying it longer than you'd like to admit. I work with people who are ready to stop running from the hard stuff and start building something better, grounded, real, and rooted in what you actually need, not a one-size-fits-all plan. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 10 years of experience helping people move from surviving to actually living. I founded New Peaks Counseling because therapy should be collaborative and built around the person in front of me, not a script. I work best with people who look like they have it together but are quietly exhausted from holding it all. My approach blends clinical expertise with real talk. No jargon, no judgment, just a space to figure out what's actually going on and what to do about it.

I also welcome clients who are seeking support for mental health concerns or substance use challenges on their own—you do not need to be experiencing both to work with me. I encourage clients to be active partners in therapy and to apply what they discover in sessions to their daily lives. f . Hello, I'm Brenda Ned, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a passion for helping individuals navigate life challenges. My experience spans working with clients dealing with stress, anger management, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, trauma, ADHD, and social anxiety. I believe that with the right support and willingness to work towards goals, anyone can change their circumstances and improve their quality of life. My approach to therapy is rooted in several methodologies, including Rogerian, person-centered, existential, and CBT. The person-centered approach is fundamental in my practice, as it allows me to focus on your unique needs and facilitate meaningful progress through empathy, unconditional positive regard, and congruence. I practice active listening, ensuring you feel heard and understood by rephrasing your statements and asking pertinent questions. In our sessions, I strive to be a role model through congruence, demonstrating authenticity and consistency. Have you been carrying more than you let other people see? Maybe anxiety has been running the show, and you can’t seem to quiet your mind or concentrate. Maybe a relationship has left you feeling confused or stuck. Or maybe you’re carrying so much that you don’t even know where to start. Whatever brought you here, you don’t have to figure it out alone. I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD and executive functioning challenges, relationship concerns, life transitions, stress, grief, self-esteem, and personal growth. Many of the people I work with feel stretched thin, pulled in multiple directions, and under constant pressure. Over time, that pressure can affect how they think, feel, and respond to the people around them. Together, we’ll slow things down, make sense of what’s happening, and identify practical steps that move you toward the life you want. My approach is warm, collaborative, and action-oriented. I believe therapy should provide insight, but it should also equip you with skills you can use long after our work together ends.

My journey into counseling began after witnessing how military service affected the emotional well-being and relationships of someone close to me. Approaching those changes with compassion and curiosity led me to study human behavior, and since then I have had the privilege of supporting domestic violence survivors, individuals involved in the court system, outpatient community mental health clients, residents in substance use and personality disorder treatment programs, and military personnel during my own time in service. Today, I continue to build on that experience through specialized training in relationship issues, anxiety, depression, and trauma, creating a supportive space where adults can heal, strengthen relationships, and move toward the life they want.

I am a multicultural, compassionate and non-judgmental licensed professional counselor. My work includes a client-centered approach as I realize no two individuals are alike. I work with couples and individuals. I help clients take stock of what is working and what can benefit from additional attention. I encourage clients to avoid self-defeating beliefs and escape criticism, blame and complaints that distort their mental and emotional wellbeing. As a trained EMDR therapist, I utilize my skill to support clients in identifying and addressing childhood and adult traumatic experiences. I am a therapist and thought partner who regards you as an individual in the text of YOUR environment and experiences - and work with you to set and achieve your goals. I practice with Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and I am EMDR trained. I am also a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist. If you are ready to experience your renewed journey, contact me and let's work out a plan that best fits your needs and goals. I am ready to help!
