LCSW, 5 years of experience
New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker with 6 5 years of experience in social work in varying helping and counseling roles. I earned a Master of Social Work from the University of Georgia. I am also certified in Advanced grief counseling. My goal is to meet people where they are in their journey toward improvement and assisting them to work through the barriers that come up in life so they feel more confident working through them more successfully and independently outside of therapy. I have an eclectic approach so I will adjust strategies from issue to issue. I provide a safe therapeutic space to discuss any difficulties you face in life. So far I have had the opportunity to work with people from various ages and backgrounds from four years old to over one hundred years old.
I want to talk more about who you are, a bit about your background and what brought you into therapy. I want to learn more about what you hope to improve in our sessions together. I want to learn more about some main barriers preventing progress. Overall, I hope to start get an understanding of what you hope can change and improve with therapy.
Empathically listening to your struggles and providing validation and solution focused or task centered support. Collaborating with you with my expertise and yours to find what best next steps are as we progress.
I have better expertise working with teens and young adults dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, womens issues, self esteem, and relational issues. I also have experience with various age groups dealing with grief and loss.
Over the years, I have assisted clients and families realize how though environmental factors play a role in their problems a lot of times how we think affects how we feel and our behavior. I want to help people challenge their thoughts and feelings and resulting behaviors so they can best help themselves.
