About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Doctor of Social Work (DSW) and seven years of experience supporting individuals through difficult and often life-changing experiences. My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and focused on helping clients feel understood while building practical tools for meaningful change. I work with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, and the emotional impact of difficult or traumatic experiences. I am also certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for depression, which allows me to help clients recognize unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier ways of coping, and build skills that support emotional well-being. I believe therapy should be a safe space where you can be honest about what you are experiencing without judgment. Rather than simply focusing on your symptoms, I take time to understand your unique experiences, strengths, values, and goals. Together, we will identify what is getting in the way and develop strategies that feel realistic and meaningful for you. My goal is to help you feel more confident in managing life's challenges, strengthen your emotional well-being, and move toward a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling. Whether you are struggling with a current challenge or feel ready to make a bigger change, you do not have to navigate it alone.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first therapy session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin creating a comfortable, supportive space for you. We will talk about what brought you to therapy, what you have been experiencing, and what you hope to gain from counseling. I will ask questions about your current concerns, your personal and family history, relationships, coping strategies, and areas of your life that may be affecting your emotional well-being. We will also discuss your strengths, goals, and what you would like to work on in therapy. You will also be required to complete a few mental health assessments prior to our session to assess the severity of symptoms, suicide risk, and overall well-being. You do not need to have everything figured out before your first appointment. You are welcome to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable sharing. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we will move at a pace that feels appropriate for you. By the end of our first session, we will begin identifying goals for therapy and discuss how we can work together moving forward. You will also have an opportunity to ask questions and decide whether you feel I am the right therapist to support you. Most importantly, you can expect to be heard, respected, and supported—without judgment.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized. I believe each person brings unique experiences, strengths, values, and challenges into therapy, so I tailor treatment to meet you where you are. I use evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we work to identify patterns that may be contributing to distress and develop practical strategies to create positive, lasting change. I also incorporate a trauma-informed and strengths-based perspective, recognizing that past experiences can influence how we respond to challenges in the present. My goal is not to judge or define you by what has happened to you, but to help you develop greater understanding, confidence, and control over your life. I believe therapy should be a safe place where you can be open and authentic without fear of judgment. I will listen, provide support and guidance, and work alongside you rather than simply telling you what to do. Whether you are struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, stress, or feeling stuck, we will work together to identify your goals and develop tools that fit your life. My goal is to help you feel heard, understood, empowered, and better equipped to navigate life's challenges.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, stuck, or uncertain about what comes next. They may be experiencing depression, anxiety, grief and loss, life transitions, stress, relationship challenges, or difficulty adjusting to changes in their personal or professional lives. I especially enjoy working with individuals who are ready to better understand themselves and are open to developing new ways to cope and respond to life's challenges. I work best with clients who are willing to participate actively in the therapeutic process. We will work together to identify goals, recognize patterns that may be holding them back, and develop practical tools to help them move forward.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

With CBT, I help clients identify unhelpful or extreme thinking and behavioral patterns that often interact with each other, escalating patients' symptoms and problems. Once we identify these patterns, I help clients challenge them and replace them with reality-based thoughts and more productive behaviors.

Grief Therapy

I provide a safe and supportive space to process the emotional, physical, and psychological impact of loss. Together, we will work through difficult emotions, develop healthy coping strategies, and explore ways to adjust to life after loss while honoring your unique experience and healing journey.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy focuses on your strengths, resources, and practical steps toward positive change. Rather than focusing primarily on problems, we explore what is working, what you want to achieve, and how to build on your existing strengths to create meaningful progress.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

In Mindfulness-Based Therapy, I will help you develop greater awareness of your thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations without judgment. It supports emotional regulation, stress reduction, and healthier coping by helping you stay present and respond to life’s challenges with greater clarity and intention.

Eclectic

I combine techniques from different therapeutic approaches to create a personalized treatment plan based on your unique needs, goals, and preferences. This flexible approach allows us to use the strategies that best support your growth, healing, and overall well-being.
