As a proud Haitian clinician, I am deeply committed to breaking down barriers to mental health care—especially within communities that have historically been overlooked, misunderstood, forgotten, or underserved. My work is rooted in cultural humility, clinical integrity, and a clear mission: to create safe spaces for African American men and other people of color to be seen, heard, and healed.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is all about laying the foundation. You can expect a welcoming, non-judgmental space where you’ll be met with respect, curiosity, and compassion. We’ll take time to get to know each other—I’ll ask about what’s bringing you in, what you’re hoping to work on, and how you’ve been coping so far. We’ll also go over important background information, discuss your goals for therapy, and talk through any questions or concerns you may have about the process. You won’t be pressured to share everything at once. We move at your pace, and you set the tone for how deep or how light we start. By the end of our first session, my goal is for you to feel heard, supported, and clear about your next steps. Therapy is a collaborative process, and this is just the beginning of building a space that works for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What sets my work apart is my ability to connect deeply and authentically, especially with clients who may not have felt seen or heard in traditional therapy spaces. I bring a culturally grounded, trauma-informed approach that blends clinical skill with real-world understanding

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve individuals—especially men of color, Haitian and Caribbean communities, and adolescents—who are ready to confront the internal battles that have been pushed aside for too long. My ideal clients may be struggling with anger, trauma, ADHD, identity confusion, relationship strain, or burnout, but they’re showing up because they know something has to shift. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by expectations, emotionally shut down, or disconnected from your purpose, we work together to uncover what’s behind the pain—and build strategies for growth, healing, and long-term emotional strength. Many of my clients carry the weight of cultural expectations, stigma, and unspoken trauma, and they’re ready for a space where they don’t have to explain why that matters. I meet you there.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

In my clinical practice, I use an eclectic treatment approach, which allows me to tailor interventions to the unique needs, backgrounds, and presenting issues of each client. Rather than strictly adhering to one theoretical orientation, I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities—including CBT, person-centered therapy, solution-focused techniques, and trauma-informed care—to create a flexible, client-centered treatment plan. This approach has been especially effective when working with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and families presenting with complex trauma, ADHD, anxiety, and mood disorders.
