About me

I am a multicultural, compassionate and non-judgmental licensed professional counselor. My work includes a client-centered approach as I realize no two individuals are alike. I work with couples and individuals. I help clients take stock of what is working and what can benefit from additional attention. I encourage clients to avoid self-defeating beliefs and escape criticism, blame and complaints that distort their mental and emotional wellbeing. As a trained EMDR therapist, I utilize my skill to support clients in identifying and addressing childhood and adult traumatic experiences. I am a therapist and thought partner who regards you as an individual in the text of YOUR environment and experiences - and work with you to set and achieve your goals. I practice with Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and I am EMDR trained. I am also a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist. If you are ready to experience your renewed journey, contact me and let's work out a plan that best fits your needs and goals. I am ready to help!

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is the beginning of a collaborative journey toward greater understanding, healing, and renewed possibilities. You do not need to know exactly what to say, what your diagnosis is, or what needs to be "fixed" before coming to therapy. You simply need to be willing to begin. Most importantly, you will not be judged, blamed, or criticized for what brings you to therapy. My role is to help you understand yourself, identify what may be getting in the way, recognize your strengths, and develop practical tools for moving forward

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring compassion, authenticity, life experience, and a genuine desire to help people find their way forward. Growing up in rural Georgia, I was raised with values that remain at the heart of how I practice today: honesty, hard work, maintaining a good attitude, treating people with respect, and helping others whenever you can. Those values taught me the importance of showing up for people—not simply telling them what to do, but walking alongside them as they work through difficult seasons of life. I also understand that therapy is more than a textbook or a diagnosis. I know what depression and anxiety can feel like. I know what loss feels like. I understand that life can sometimes leave us feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disappointed, or uncertain about what comes next. These experiences have strengthened my ability to listen with empathy and without judgment. As a multicultural, compassionate, and non-judgmental Licensed Professional Counselor, I recognize that every client brings a unique story shaped by their culture, family, relationships, environment, and life experiences. I don't believe in a "one-size-fits-all" approach to therapy. Instead, I work collaboratively with you to understand where you are, where you want to go, and what may be standing in the way. I see myself not only as your therapist, but also as your thought partner. My role is to help you slow things down, look at your circumstances from different perspectives, recognize your strengths, and make decisions that are consistent with the life you want to create. Above all, I bring hope. I believe people can heal, grow, change, and begin again. Sometimes you simply need a safe place, an honest conversation, and someone willing to walk alongside you while you figure out what comes next. You don't have to have everything figured out before you begin. We can work through it together.!

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are individuals, couples, and families who are seeking support, growth, healing, and meaningful change—regardless of gender, sexual orientation, cultural background, or life circumstances. I welcome anyone who recognizes that they need support and is ready to take steps toward improving their emotional well-being, relationships, and overall quality of life. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, trauma, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, you do not have to face it alone. I believe every person deserves to be heard, respected, and accepted without judgment. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where you can be authentic, explore what is happening in your life, and work toward the changes that matter most to you.

My treatment methods

Couples Counseling

I use the Gottman Method to help couples better understand their relationship patterns, strengthen their emotional connection, and develop healthier ways of communicating and resolving conflict. In couples counseling, I help partners move beyond simply identifying who is "right" or "wrong" and instead focus on understanding the patterns that are creating disconnection. We explore each partner's perspective, needs, expectations, and emotional experiences while working toward greater understanding and connection. For couples experiencing infidelity or a significant breach of trust, I provide a structured space to process the impact of the betrayal, understand contributing relationship dynamics, establish appropriate boundaries, and determine what each partner needs moving forward. The goal is not to force reconciliation, but to help the couple make thoughtful and informed decisions about their relationship. My approach is collaborative and individualized. I meet couples where they are and help them develop practical skills they can use both inside and outside of the therapy room. The goal is not simply to stop arguing—it is to help couples understand each other, repair what has been hurt, and build a healthier relationship moving forward.
