New to Grow
With over twenty years in the education field and over four years of clinical mental health experience in the private hospital setting, I know how important it is to have a space to talk through what is weighing on your mind, sort through the baggage, and reorganize everything in a way that allows you to enjoy life and make the most of your journey. I bring a thoughtful, warm, and gentle dynamic to our therapy session where you can feel welcome and supported to unpack all of you, even those parts that may be hidden away. I live my life with a spiritual context, specifically Christian based, but I am happy to meet you wherever you are in your own journey.
Through our time together, you can expect to feel empowered to make the meaningful changes to help build momentum toward your goals and outlook. Sometimes beginning with a therapist can feel awkward, but I strive to help clients feel welcome, comfortable, and safe to begin wherever they feel ready to start at a pace that works for them. As your therapist, I want you to feel cared for and supported as you move into those changes that help create your best self.
I use a solution-focused, resiliency-minded holistic therapy approach. We all find ourselves in a mud puddle or two, but do you choose to sit and wallow in the mud or do you want to climb out, dry off, and keep going? Working together, it is important that you feel supported and heard through the compassion, empathy, and warmth I offer to improve your well-being. We usually start with small meaningful changes that will lead to bigger shifts to help build momentum into a positive, healthy, more beneficial day to day life. Clients often share that I am observant, easy to talk to, and insightful with a warm, caring, and thoughtful nature.
My ideal client is one that is seeking to increase healthy coping skills, while managing and decreasing the causes of elevated stress levels in their life. They are open to exploring themselves and the experiences that have created the lens by which they see the world. This client may be ready to investigate patterns or significant life changes and may be looking for deeper understanding, clarity, and meaningful change while increasing their resiliency and positive outlook on life.

I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) is often used to recognize and understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and how they influence each other. Using that knowledge, we create a practical plan to implement coping skills, shift your thought patterns, and change behavior responses.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness-Based Therapy (MBT) is a terrific approach that helps individuals cultivate awareness and presence in the moment which leads to emotional regulation and often greater self-compassion. MBT gives space for clients to observe their thoughts and feelings in a non-judgmental way, which makes room for healthier responses and insightful reflections. These methods can be used through exercises such as breathing techniques, guided meditations, and reflective practices. I often integrate mindfulness with CBT strategies to help clients feel grounded, empowered, and connected to themselves while enhancing coping strategies and greater resiliency.
Supportive
I use supportive therapy as a foundational approach from the immediate start to help clients feel emotionally safe, supported, and empowered to seek and continue beneficial therapeutic work. Supportive therapy focuses on highlighting a client's existing strengths, enhancing coping strategies, and cultivating resiliency without directly challenging defenses too early.
