I am an eclectic therapist who collaborates with you to identify the needs to elevate your life. I empower, encourage and challenge you to reach your fullest potential. It is important to me that you believe you have the right to be fully present and autonomous in your life. Learning to cope with life’s challenges is what I strive to support you with.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session involves obtaining background information, some family information and goal setting. We will not dive deep until future sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Empathetic, authentic, autonomous and respectful but challenging you to recognize the benefits of moving from your comfort zone.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

The most effective therapeutic setting is one where the client desires to shift their lives and is open to accountability and has some level of motivation to work towards treatment goals. This experience is not meant to be easy and trying to do things differently should be the minimum.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Helping clients to identify and change unhelpful thoughts, patterns and behaviors. This is utilized every session with every client.

Interpersonal

The focus on improving the clients interpersonal relationships to reduce psychological distress. Utilized when clients seem to have discord with most people in their lives and unable to identify the origins of discord and identity responsibility within relationship discord.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Helping clients to move forward with goals without being bogged down by the past. I utilize this when clients became stuck with what occurred in the their past.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Helping to navigate difficult thoughts and feelings and not to eliminate pain but to change the relationship with it. I utilize this when clients exhibit avoidance.

Motivational Interviewing

Helping the client to explore and resolve ambivalence regarding change. I use it when I recognize clients are at an impasse with therapy goals.
