I want to assist individuals ages 5 to 99+, on their chosen paths to living a healthy, mentally stable lifestyle by creating a safe, compassionate, and caring environment where individuals are free to be themselves, where they are comfortable in their skins, where they can identify their strengths, identify their goals, and pursue those goals on their timeline. I also want to strive to assist individuals so that they are able to be within their family and define their norms while achieving that vision while developing positive self-esteem, healthy coping skills, and appropriate boundaries.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing, and then create a tailored plan you are comfortable with that will meet your goals in follow-up sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Building rapport is one of my favorite ways to help my clients. I enjoy listening and connecting with my clients. I like to focus on your strengths. We all have areas of growth, and we will talk about those, but I also want to stay focused on what you excel at, and how those areas can assist you in achieving the balance you are searching for.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are individuals who feel that something in their life isn’t working—emotionally, mentally, or relationally—even if they can’t clearly define the problem. They may feel overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or disconnected, and while they don’t always have the language to describe their experience, they have a growing awareness that they want things to change. They are open to exploring their inner world, even if they feel uncertain, intimidated, or skeptical about therapy. They understand, at least on some level, that growth can be uncomfortable, and they are willing to engage in that process rather than avoid it. They may have tried to “figure things out on their own” for a long time and are now ready for support, guidance, and a space where they can be honest without judgment. These clients value insight, self-awareness, and emotional growth, even if they are just beginning to develop those values. They are not necessarily looking for quick fixes, but for deeper understanding and meaningful, lasting change. While therapy may feel confusing or challenging at times, they are willing to stay engaged because they sense it can lead to a more fulfilling and authentic life.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Although I have not sought the specialist certifications, I do use a lot of DBT techniques in my therapy practice. I have studied these techniques and attended workshops so that I feel comfortable using this treatment. I find that this treatment works best with depression, anxiety, as well as other mental health concerns.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I believe that the best therapy happens when the client drives the sessions and brings up their concerns. It is my belief that you are able to live the life you choose, and I want to be there to assist and remind you how capable you truly are!

Play Therapy

I believe that all clients can benefit from play therapy. We have a common experience of being children, and we all know how to play, but sometimes we struggle with what that looks like.
