About me

Hi, I'm Natalie, a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia, with nearly a decade of experience supporting individuals through life's challenges and transitions. I believe that therapy should be a safe, judgment-free space where you can be honest about what you're experiencing, feel heard and understood, and work toward meaningful change. My approach is compassionate- yet still gently challenging, collaborative and individualized because I know that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Whether you're navigating anxiety, relationships, life transitions, self-esteem, stress, or simply feeling stuck, I'm here to help you better understand yourself, your patterns, and move forward in your next steps.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is an opportunity to slow down and talk about what brought you to therapy, what's been happening in your life, and what you hope will be different in your future. We'll spend time getting to know one another and identifying the areas that feel most important to you. You don't need to prepare the "right" things to say or have your story perfectly organized. Whether you're experienced with therapy or completely new to it, I'll help you understand what to expect and we'll take the conversation at a pace that feels comfortable. By the end of our first session, you should have a clearer sense of where we can begin and what working together may look like.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring a combination of active listening, empathy and genuine understanding to each session. I take the time to understand the person behind the presenting concern while helping clients develop practical coping strategies that support their emotional well-being and day-to-day functioning. What sets my approach apart is my focus on both insight and action- I want clients to not only understand and verbalize what they are experiencing, but also feel equipped to respond to life's challenges with greater confidence and clarity.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who may be looking for support, even if they're not completely sold on the idea of therapy. This can include teens who are unsure about opening up, adults navigating difficult seasons, or anyone that recognizes that something in their life isn't working the way they'd like it to. Some clients come to therapy with specific concerns, while others simply know they don't feel like themselves or aren't sure of what comes next. I value working with people at different stages of readiness and meeting them where they are, without expecting them to have everything figured out before we begin.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-centered therapy is at the heart of how I work with clients. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to provide space where you can explore your own experiences without feeling judged or pressured to have all of the answers. Rather than telling you what you should do, I work alongside you to help you identify your own needs, values and goals. From there, we can explore what may be getting in the way and what changes feel right for you. This allows therapy to be collaborative and individualized, while giving you the freedom to be authentically you.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients recognize the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify thought patterns or beliefs that may be contributing to distress and examine whether they are accurate, helpful or keeping you stuck. We then work on developing more balanced ways of thinking and practical strategies for responding differently. CBT can give clients tools they can use both inside and outside of therapy, helping them approach challenging situations with greater awareness and make intentional choices rather than simply reacting out of habit.

Attachment-based

I use an attachment-based approach to help clients understand how their past experiences with important people in their lives can share the way they connect with others today. This may show up in relationships as difficulty trusting, fear of rejection or abandonment, feeling uncomfortable with closeness, or struggling to communicate your needs. Together we explore these patterns with curiosity rather than judgment and consider where they may have come from and whether they are still serving you. The goal is to help you develop healthier, more secure ways of connective while gaining a better understanding of your needs and how to express them.
