Hello, My name is Clarissa Lane and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based out of Virgina. I graduated with my Masters degree from Appalachian State University, in Boone NC. I help adults manage daily life stressors and trauma so they can move forward in life leaving the past in the past. I have been practicing for 5 years in direct practice and I pride myself with being professional and non judgemental. I have come from all walks in life myself and being honest and relatable will hopefully help people to feel comfortable.
In our first session I just want to get to know you and allow you the opportunity to get to know me. No expectation of jumping straight in. Trust and respect needs to come first.
My greatest strength is active listening and being real. I believe that my patients are the master of their lives and they know what they need. They just may not know how to do what is needed to get them there.
Patients who have struggled to release their past trauma and stressors of daily life because they may not have the tools or are afraid of opening up because they fear it will make their life more difficult.
Clarissa Lane offers therapy covered by Kaiser Permanente - Medicaid and UnitedHealthcare/Optum - Medicaid in Virginia.
I work with trauma, anxiety, PTSD alot. However, I also work with other issues as well. EMDR is a special type of treatment method that helps people process very difficult things either from childhood or a day before.
CBT help patients with many different things. It's a method that help change the way you manage stress, thoughts about stress, and can help with negative thoughts about self.
I use grief therapy to help people overcome and process loss. Not just death but also loss of relationship, job ect.
