I am a person-centered therapist with a deep commitment to creating a supportive and non-judgmental environment. I firmly believe that you are the expert of your own experiences and that our work together should revolve around your needs and goals. As a sex-positive therapist, my goal is to create an environment that is open and affirming towards discussions surrounding sexuality, traditional and nontraditional relationships, and sexual identity. As a geek-aware therapist, I understand the power of pop culture, gaming, technology, and all things nerdy. I embrace your passions, whether it's delving into the world of comic books, discussing the latest sci-fi TV series, or exploring video game narratives. Geek culture provides a rich tapestry of themes and references that we can utilize to deepen our therapeutic conversations and make the process more engaging and relatable to you. My passions lie in working with young adults, and couples, and with the challenges and pressures men face.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I understand the unique pressures, identity exploration, and life transitions that young adults face, and I am dedicated to providing the guidance and support needed to navigate these complexities successfully. I believe that healthy relationships are the foundation for personal growth and happiness. I work with couples facing communication difficulties, intimacy concerns, and other relationship challenges, to help you and your partner strengthen your connection and cultivate a thriving partnership. I also recognize the unique societal expectations and pressures that men often encounter, and I provide a safe space for men to explore their emotions, address concerns related to masculinity, and develop healthy coping strategies.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I am an eclectic therapist, which means I draw upon various therapeutic approaches, primarily rooted in person-centered therapy. This approach recognizes your inherent worth and believes in the importance of creating a genuine and empathetic therapeutic relationship. Together, we will focus on self-exploration, personal growth, and self-acceptance. Additionally, I may incorporate elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based practices to help you develop effective coping strategies, manage stress, and challenge negative thought patterns. These techniques can be particularly helpful when navigating the complexities of everyday life, relationships, or any challenges you may be facing.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

When you enter into our shared space, you will be met with warmth, empathy, and acceptance. I believe therapy is a collaborative effort, with your needs and goals at the forefront of our work. We will work together to explore your concerns, set achievable objectives, and develop strategies to promote positive change and personal growth. Whether you're seeking support for anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem, or any other challenges, I am here to provide a supportive environment where you can express yourself freely. Our discussions may range from your favorite fandoms to deeper explorations of your emotions and experiences. I believe that incorporating your interests and passions into therapy can enhance our work together and foster a greater sense of connection.
