I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges and discover their inner strengths. I help facilitate mind and body realignment for the achievement of optimal performance in school, at work, and in personal lives. I'm here to help harness inner resources. With a warm and empathetic approach, I provide therapy that is rooted in person-centered principles, mindfulness techniques, and faith-based practices. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and beliefs, empowering them to cultivate meaningful growth and healing.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first therapy session, clients can expect a welcoming and supportive environment where they are encouraged to share their thoughts, feelings, and concerns without judgment. My goal is to establish rapport and begin building a trusting relationship with the client, creating a safe space for open and honest communication. I explain the therapeutic process and discuss confidentiality to ensure the client feels comfortable and informed. I ask questions to gain a better understanding of the client's background, current challenges, and goals for therapy. Clients can expect to have the opportunity to express their reasons for seeking therapy and what they hope to achieve through the therapeutic process. Together, we will collaboratively set goals for therapy and discuss potential approaches or strategies to address the client's concerns. Clients can expect to feel heard, understood, and supported as they embark on their path toward personal growth, healing, and positive change.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a provider are my relatability, use of humor, and ability to allow clients to control their own journeys. I am here to help and guide my clients. My job is not to dictate or determine the path to take. I will remind my clients of their goals and confront them when they avoid doing what is necessary to accomplish their goals. With that said, I point out things that could be detrimental to growth, things that can be helpful on the journey, and things the client should consider during the journey.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness is a powerful tool for cultivating self-awareness, resilience, and inner peace. I incorporate mindfulness practices such as deep breathing, guided imagery, and mindful meditation into our sessions to help clients develop greater awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations. By learning to stay present in the moment, clients can reduce stress, manage anxiety, and enhance their overall well-being.

Faith based therapy

For clients who draw strength and comfort from their faith or spiritual beliefs, I offer faith-based therapy that integrates psychological principles with spiritual teachings. Whether clients identify with Christianity or simply seek a deeper connection to their spirituality, I provide a supportive space for exploring issues of faith, meaning, and purpose. Together, we examine how spiritual beliefs can influence thoughts, behaviors, and coping strategies, helping clients find hope, resilience, and guidance on their journey toward healing.

I believe in the inherent worth and potential of every individual. In our sessions, I focus on creating a non-judgmental and accepting environment where clients feel heard, valued, and understood.
