I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with adults navigating anxiety, relationship stress, life transitions, family conflict, and emotional overwhelm. My approach is warm, collaborative, and insight-oriented while also focused on practical tools clients can use in their daily lives. I integrate evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, family systems, and solution-focused therapy to help clients better understand patterns, strengthen coping skills, and improve relationships and overall functioning.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is typically more question-heavy as I work to understand your current concerns, relationships, stressors, history, and goals for therapy. My style is candid, affirming, and insight-oriented, and I focus on helping clients begin identifying patterns and areas for change early in the process. The initial session is also an opportunity for me to get a sense of how I can best support you moving forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is helping clients identify patterns in relationships, communication, and emotional responses that may be keeping them stuck. Clients often appreciate my ability to balance candid feedback with affirmation and empathy while also offering practical tools and concrete coping strategies. My approach tends to resonate with clients who are insightful, motivated for change, and wanting a deeper understanding of themselves, their relationships, and long-standing patterns.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with clients who are insightful, self-reflective, and motivated for treatment, even if they feel stuck or overwhelmed. I particularly enjoy working with adults navigating relationship stress, anxiety, life transitions, communication difficulties, family conflict, and patterns that impact connection with others. Many of my clients are looking for both practical coping skills and deeper insight into relational dynamics, emotional patterns, and long-standing behavioral cycles.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients identify cognitive distortions, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and develop healthier behavioral responses to stressors. I frequently incorporate cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, problem-solving, coping skill development, psychoeducation, and thought-challenging techniques to support clients managing anxiety, depression, adjustment-related concerns, and relationship stress.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use DBT to help clients build skills in emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. In my practice, I commonly use DBT interventions such as chain analysis, behavioral pattern identification, and skills training including STOP, TIPP, PLEASE, DEAR MAN, GIVE, Opposite Action, and Check the Facts to help clients manage emotional overwhelm, relationship stress, anxiety, and impulsive or avoidant coping patterns.

Structural Family Therapy

I use Structural Family Therapy to help clients understand and shift relational dynamics, family roles, boundaries, and interaction patterns that may be contributing to distress. In my practice, I help clients identify maladaptive relational patterns, strengthen communication, clarify boundaries, and support healthier family and couple functioning through increased awareness of systemic dynamics and patterns of connection.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution Focused Brief Therapy to help clients identify strengths, build on existing coping skills, and develop practical, goal-oriented solutions to current stressors. In my practice, I frequently use scaling questions, exception finding, goal-setting, strengths-based interventions, and future-focused exploration to help clients increase insight, improve functioning, and create achievable behavioral change.
