I want to personally welcome you to a space where healing, growth, and transformation are not only possible; but expected. With over 25 years of experience in the mental health field, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside individuals from all walks of life through some of their most challenging, yet defining, moments. As a licensed clinical counselor for the past 7 years, a behavior analyst for 11 years, and a professional counselor for 15, I’ve devoted my life to helping others reclaim their strength and find meaning in the midst of difficulty. My counseling approach is rooted in empathy, shaped by experience, and guided by evidence. I combine cognitive and behavioral strategies with a solution-focused mindset; always working with you to uncover what’s working, what’s not, and how to move forward in a way that feels true to your goals and values. Together, we’ll develop practical, real-life strategies that bring relief, build resilience, and help you feel more like yourself again. In addition to my clinical work, I bring 22 years of experience as a professional educator. This has taught me how to meet people exactly where they are; with compassion, clarity, and the belief that knowledge can be a powerful force in the healing process. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, I want you to know: change is possible. And you don’t have to do it alone. If you’re ready to take the first step, I’d be honored to walk that journey with you.

Hi there, I'm glad you're here. I can only imagine how many anxious thoughts you've had to move past just to get to this point. All of the words to how you feel, jumbled up into a noisy ball in your mind. People talk about self-care, and you've tried your best to practice this, but yet the stress and confusion about what to do next to change how you feel remains. You've come to the conclusion that what you've been doing is not getting you closer to where you want to be, so you want to try something different. I'm here to tell you that you're in the right place. I work with independent, high-functioning individuals who are looking for direction, clarity, and peace of mind. Whether you're dealing with workplace stress, relationship or family issues, or adjusting to life’s transitions, anxiety and depression do not have to run your life. In our work together, I will provide a safe space for you to get in touch with your strengths and empower you to grow as an individual. I'm looking forward to meeting with you!

Hi, I am a licensed mental health counselor who focuses on identity transformation! I work with those who feel the achievements are there, yet still feels misaligned in what you do versus who you truly are. This identity crisis shows up in subtle ways - the anxiety that greets you before meetings, the exhaustion from maintaining the "strong Black woman" image, the longing for relationships where you can finally be real. I want you to know that transformation is possible. That having more alignment and authenticity in the way you show up is possible. In our work together, we'll move beyond just understanding why you code-switch or people-please and help your system find its way back to your truth using Internal Family Systems therapy. Imagine walking into any room fully grounded in who you are. Picture making decisions from your core self, not from old wounds. It's time to transform your relationship with yourself - to heal those outdated identities and create a life that truly feels like yours.

My goal is to meet you where you are by bringing a compassionate approach backed by formal training and experience and be a part of your goals in the change process. I am very personable as well as professional and I do not believe in one-sided relationships. I have a multidisciplinary, eclectic approach to therapy in which I utilize techniques and principles from a variety of modalities to include Christian based. My counseling is geared toward treating the whole person from a biopsychosocial spiritual standpoint. I view counseling as a calling and not as a career and that it is a collaborative effort in which I learn and grow as a result of every interaction. My clients describe me as a “good listener” and as someone who “makes me think”. Some of the experiences that have contributed to my professional identity and approach to mental health treatment are my formal education at Pensacola Christian College where I received a BA in Pastoral Ministry and Liberty University where I received a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have worked as a therapist under regulatory agencies for 6 years and have worked in Christian Ministry since my ministerial ordination in 2003. Demographics I have served have included inpatient and outpatient care, private practice, substance abuse issues, psychotic spectrum disorders, gender identity issues, personality disorders, sex addiction, family and relationship issues, depression, anxiety, PTSD, Spirituality, and men’s issues. My experiences as a combat military veteran, teacher, father, husband, and a person who has experienced my own traumas and failures have contributed to my professional development. I look forward to getting to know you!

Carl Jung once said, “The world will ask you who you are. And if you don’t know, it will tell you.” Here’s the truth: the story you tell about yourself will shape the next chapter of your life—whether it’s full of courage and clarity, or stuck in old loops of powerlessness and shame. But you have the pen. You get to choose a new narrative—one built on healing, accountability, and real self-worth. I believe our active choices create our emotional confidence, our sense of belonging, and our capacity to thrive. When you change your story, you change your life. So the question becomes: Will you keep rehearsing survival? Or will you rise into a life you actually designed? Empower your voice. Redesign and refine. Choose freedom.

I am currently licensed to provide telehealth therapy to clients residing in California, Washington, and Oregon. As a second-generation Asian American immigrant, I have experiential understanding of the complex intersections of culture, family expectations, and identity that many individuals—especially from Asian and other immigrant cultural backgrounds—navigate daily. I specialize in helping adult clients and parents (ages 18–85) untangle painful family dynamics, work through cultural and intergenerational conflicts, and heal from relational wounds and past trauma. I offer a compassionate, collaborative space where we can explore and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, break cycles of emotional pain, and move toward healthier ways of relating—with yourself and others. I also work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, academic or career stress, spiritual conflict, grief, and behavioral struggles such as substance use, compulsive behaviors, and lifestyle challenges rooted in unresolved trauma. My approach integrates evidence-based practices with cultural sensitivity and a strong belief in your ability to grow, heal, and reconnect with your sense of purpose. If you're feeling stuck in painful patterns or difficult relationships, I invite you to reach out and begin your journey toward greater clarity, connection, and emotional freedom.

Frequently asked questions

Why filter by Washington rather than a city like Seattle?

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in the state. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Washington from Spokane to Tacoma! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Washington.

Will my therapist take insurance?

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on a specific issue?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

What are the "Clients say I'm" badges?

Grow Therapy asks patients about their experience with therapists after they have had a certain number of sessions. After enough responses, we add those characteristics to their profiles to help you find the best online therapists for you. We're still working on collecting this information from all our therapists.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What to expect during your first session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs.

Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
