Hi! My name is Ruthie. I am from the great state of Texas! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC), and National Certified Counselor (NCC). I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and the University of Mobile with a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. I'm licensed in the states of: AZ, FL, TX, & WA.

I'm a narrative therapist at heart, which means we all have a story of our lives, and in the sharing of our story, we discover possible meaning, insights, healing, and growth. It is my goal to create an inviting, warm, safe place for you to share that story, and we can discover together how the Lord wants to bring healing and hope. It is my hope that people will take away from sessions feeling supported, cared for, listened to, not alone, comforted, encouraged, and with a spark of faith that it is ok to have the courage to hope again.
First session
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Schedule an appointment, and let's get to know each other! We can discuss your current needs/goals, and see if we are a good fit. I have experience with a variety of populations with a variety of ranges in need and levels of care. From just needing a friendly person to talk to and adjustments to life challenges/changes, to post inpatient care and follow up. I treat each person as an individual and welcome talking with you about where you are. Its important to know that I prefer to integrate Christian, biblically, faith-based principles along with clinical treatment approaches and techniques. I believe in prayer, and would welcome coming along side you in your time of need.
