I am a licensed professional clinical counselor with over 10 years of experience specializing in treating anxiety related disorders such as depression, generalized anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, etc. I also work with people experiencing life transitions, grief issues, and women's issues. I have a masters degree in clinical psychology from Azusa Pacific University and enjoy helping clients reach their life goals.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we will spend time building rapport and getting to know each other. There will also be an intake and assessment process that might feel like a million questions but is just there to help us create a good treatment plan. You should be able to leave the session feeling seen, heard, and understood.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
If you are tired of waking up every day feeling tired or if you are ready for change in the new year and meeting your next life goal, then therapy is for you. If you would like to learn grounding techniques, ways to reduce anxious worries, and to create a toolbox of tools for mental wellness, then let's talk. I believe in focusing on a client's strengths as well as their needs and goals. We can put together a treatment plan that will work for you.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work with clients who are motivated for change. I am well positioned to serve clients undergoing life transitions as well as working to serve clients with depression and anxiety related disorders.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is an evidenced based modality that helps clients work on how changing core thoughts can change feelings and behaviors which leads to a more healthy and robust life. It is commonly used to treat things such as generalized anxiety.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I have been using ACT since graduate school. It is also an evidenced based modality and good for long term diagnosis such as depression, bipolar disorder, etc.
Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)
I have worked extensively with OCD clients for several years and specialize in ERP, hierarchy building, response prevention messages, etc.
