With over 23 years of experience, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of individuals and families navigating life’s challenges. My work includes helping people manage anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship concerns, and life transitions. I also bring experience supporting military members and others who have experienced trauma, including PTSD and traumatic brain injuries. My approach to therapy is collaborative. I believe that therapy works best when we work together as a team. I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where you can share your story openly and feel heard without judgment. From there, we can explore practical tools and strategies that help you make meaningful and healthy changes in your life. Seeking support can feel like a big step, and I respect the courage it takes to begin the process. My goal is to help you gain insight, develop practical coping skills, and move toward a life that feels more balanced, meaningful, and fulfilling.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, the main focus is getting to know you and beginning to build a space where you feel comfortable, safe, and respected. Starting therapy can feel like a big step, so we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you. You’ll have the opportunity to share what has been going on in your life and what led you to seek therapy. I will spend a lot of time listening to your story and asking a few questions to better understand your experiences, concerns, and what you hope might change. We will also talk about confidentiality, how the therapy process works, and what you can expect from working together. If you’re ready, we may begin discussing some goals for therapy and what support might look like moving forward. The first session is really about laying the foundation for a trusting working relationship, where you feel heard, understood, and supported as we begin the process of creating meaningful and lasting change.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my therapeutic approach is the respect and humility I bring to each person’s story. I believe every individual’s experiences and struggles are unique, and I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, understood, and genuinely heard. My work is grounded in research-based practices and a collaborative approach. I believe therapy works best when we work together to understand challenges, identify patterns, and develop practical strategies that fit your life. Through this process, clients often build confidence as they begin using new tools and seeing meaningful progress. Over time, these changes can lead to lasting growth and a greater sense of balance in daily life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to work with individuals who are navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, or the lingering effects of trauma. Many of the people I work with are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to move forward, but are motivated to better understand themselves and create healthier patterns in their lives that lead to true growth. In my years of experience, I have also had the privilege of supporting military members and others who have experienced trauma, including PTSD and traumatic brain injuries. I understand that trauma can impact many areas of life, and I approach this work with care, patience, and respect for each person’s unique story. Clients who tend to benefit most from working with me are those who want a collaborative therapy experience. I believe therapy works best when we approach it as a team. Together we create a safe, supportive environment where you can talk openly, explore what’s been weighing on you, and develop practical tools that help you move toward meaningful and lasting change. Whether you are looking to gain insight, strengthen coping skills, or simply feel more balanced and understood, my goal is to support you in building a life that feels more manageable, meaningful, and fulfilling.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my experience, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) provides practical tools that help people manage stress, anxiety, and depression in everyday life. As you practice these skills, many people begin to feel more confident, function better day to day, and experience healthier relationships.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness is a simple way to slow down and become more aware of what you’re thinking and feeling in the moment. In therapy, I help clients use mindfulness to better understand themselves and learn how to handle difficult emotions with more calm, clarity, and confidence.
