Kate (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist Supervisor with 18 years of experience in community mental health, school-based, and outpatient settings.
Kate is dedicated to supporting individuals of all ages as they navigate trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, relationship stressors, and challenging life circumstances. Her goal is to create a warm, non-judgmental, encouraging, collaborative and trauma-informed environment where clients feel safe, supported and empowered as they work towards finding meaning. She is LGBTQIA+ allied and affirming and hopes to create an inclusive space for people of all racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds. Her person-centered and strengths-based approach includes psychodynamic therapy and she integrates EMDR, mindfulness, DBT, play therapy, sand tray, and expressive arts. Kate previously worked with animals and has studied animal-assisted play therapy. She also enjoys doing supervision for those working towards their RPT (Registered Play Therapist) credential. Outside of her therapeutic work, Kate enjoys music, spending time with pets and fostering dogs, exploring nature, and taking art classes.
