Hi there! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Alabama, but provide services to individuals living in Louisiana, Texas, and Virginia. I received my Masters from Tulane University and have been practicing for over 6 years. My practice focuses on healing clients with matters related to grief, life transitions, and unhealthy or difficult relationships in their lives. I work together with clients to facilitate change and healing within.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll begin with brief introductions, and then discuss the specific challenges you are facing.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My primary goal is to make sure the people that I am working with feel fully seen and understood. I truly believe that the most significant change can occur when you trust your therapist and can be your authentic self. I strive to show empathy and compassion to all of my clients.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

As human beings, it is inevitable that we will encounter painful or uncomfortable experiences in life. I use this approach to support people in moving forward with their lives despite what has happened or how they are feeling.

Strength-Based

I use this approach to highlight the skills and strengths individuals may already have in order to cope with painful, or challenging situations.

Motivational Interviewing

I utilize this in my practice to support those who are struggling to find motivation, or who are ambivalent about making changes in their lives. This is an effective treatment method for those with chronic illness, substance misuse, and people looking to generally make changes in order to live a healthier lifestyle.

Grief Therapy

Grief is a universal, painful experience. My goal is to support individuals in grief as they navigate complex feelings associated with grief, develop the ability to adapt, and continue living after loss.
