I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Substance Abuse Counselor, Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with over 9 years of experience providing compassionate and effective counseling services. Letting someone in and seeking support is one of the most powerful gifts you can give yourself. I truly believe that we all carry inner wisdom but at times that voice can be difficult to hear. A strong therapeutic relationship can help bring that wisdom to the surface so that it stays with you long after therapy ends.
I specialize in helping clients heal from trauma, depression, manage anxiety and stress, and break free from old patterns that no longer serve them. In our first session, we'll talk about what's been going on for you and what you're hoping for in therapy. Ill be gathering some history and you can answer at your own pace and for us to see if we're a good fit to work together.
I like to work with the client to get at the root cause of the issue. I strongly believe that things don't happen for no reason and therefore I encourage the client to explore "why" in therapy. I use emotion-focused and attachment based therapy in sessions, in addition to CBT, DBT and person-centered.
My approach is collaborative, strength-based, and trauma-informed. I integrate evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, REBT, and MI to meet your unique needs. I enjoy working with adults navigating anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, life transitions, relationship issues, stress management, multicultural integration, LGBTQ+ concerns.
