I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with over twenty-six years experience in both the macro and clinical areas of counseling. I specialize in trauma, depression, anxiety, multicultural issues, and behavioral issues. Regardless of the area of service, my goal is to ensure that resources to clients are accessible and that clients feel supported while navigating the journey to healing.
Clients can expect a therapeutic environment that is compassionate, empathetic, empowering, and safe.
Having worked in community-based settings most of my career, I have developed a solid understanding of how best to identify the root cause of your challenges and create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress in a finite amount of time while utilizing community resources to assist in your healing journey.
I enjoy working with older teenagers and all adults at various stages of development. I utilize therapy techniques that allow clients to receive treatment for mental health conditions, heal from trauma, navigate conflicts, improve their relationships, or just have a safe, neutral space to talk about life. I help clients connect the dots to better understand how their state of mental health shows up in their daily living and relationships.

I love her. She can read me already. She gives me tasks to complete for my growth. She listens and understands, while being compassionate and informative. I always look forward to my sessions with her.

I enjoyed my first session. When you're not being heard at home or elsewhere, she took time to hear what I felt and what I had to say while still getting to know me. I enjoyed my session and I can't wait to have my next session next wk. She is exactly what I need.
Cognitive behavioral therapy combines cognitive therapy with behavior therapy by identifying maladaptive patterns of thinking, emotional responses, or behaviors and replacing them with more desirable patterns.
Interpersonal therapy (IPT) focuses on your current relationships, how they might be affecting your depression symptoms, and ways that you can improve your interactions and your mental health.
Reality therapy is an approach to psychotherapy that views all behaviors as choices. It is based on a concept called "choice theory", which says that humans only have five basic needs, all of which are genetically driven and can't be changed. The choice theory dictates that people, at their core, are trying to satisfy five basic needs.
