My name is Caitlin Leeper and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a licensed chemical dependency counselor (LCDC) with years of experience in addiction recovery and dual diagnosis, as well as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy certification. I graduated from Southern New Hampshire University in 2020 with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. It is a true passion of mine to create a safe and accepting space for people to feel and process what is keeping them trapped in patterns and cycles they want to escape. Working together with clients, I hope to help them develop healthy coping skills to make positive choices for themselves and their healing and recovery. As a counselor, I've worked in an acute inpatient center, treating addiction with co-occurring disorders, and have extensive experience with the 12-step model of recovery. As a lead therapist in a substance abuse intensive outpatient program, I've facilitated both group and individual counseling with a trauma-informed approach. Utilizing techniques borrowed from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), I treat clients from a holistic, client-centered perspective. I believe everyone has a unique life experience–physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. With that in mind, I provide each client with an individualized approach to healing to address their unique needs. In my experience, I've worked with clients with substance use disorders, trauma, PTSD, codependency, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, personality disorders, and grief. *Currently training to become a Level I and II Certified Clinical Trauma Professional

Hello! Thanks for visiting my profile. My name is Libby, and I'm a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over a decade of experience working with adolescents and adults representing some of the most vulnerable populations. Preference for individual/adults. As a Black female therapist, and on my mental wellness journey, I recognize the huge stigma connected to addressing mental health treatment in Black and Brown communities. Several barriers contribute to the gap in mental health care, including a lack of cultural representation among providers, an overwhelming sense of fear of sharing personal history with a stranger and being stigmatized by family or friends. The biggest obstacle is silence! Unfortunately, many are suffering alone, giving way to unhealthy generational patterns, like anxiety, depression, and PTSD (to name a few). My goal is to interrupt these negative patterns by creating space for healing and rewriting your story.

I was in the United States Marine Corps from 1998-2003 and during this time I learned a great deal about myself and became more culturally diverse. During my third year of service, I was injured at Officers Candidate School and realized that I needed to develop my counseling skills, so I worked with an agency that counseled teens regarding their addiction. I have been in the social services field for the past twenty years and have been licensed for the past 10 years. When I got out of the Marines in 2003, I went home to North Carolina and my father passed away three days later unexpectedly so, I needed a job and I was able to use my previous years working with teens and became a supervisor at Sipes Orchard Home took in unwanted children from parents, Level II and Level IV agencies, and the Department of Children and Families. After being here at this facility for two years I left as they weren't following the Medicaid standards. I left the agency and went to work for The Cognitive Connection as the Prevention Supervisor providing preventive services for teens and was part of the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) providing groups to adults. I worked with Cognitive Connection for three years and left to go to Pensacola, Florida because I had heard they were starting a MSW program. I felt hopeful as I knew getting my master’s in social work would change my life forever. After I finished the MSW program I immediately started working for Lakeview Services in Adult Outpatient Community Mental Health and then worked in the Drug Court program. I stayed here for three years until I got a job with the DoD in Oklahoma because my wife was trying to get a federal job, so I moved to support her and my family. While working with the DoD I was able to get my supervision for licensing, created an anger management program for the DoD, and stayed until my LCSW license was finalized in December of 2013. When I came back to Florida I worked for Volunteers of America for a couple of years until a federal job opened at Veterans Affairs in Pensacola, FL, in August of 2016. I have been licensed in Florida for the past 10 years, recently became licensed in Texas and Oklahoma. I have some clients who are in therapy with me for several weeks to several months depending on their individual needs. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!

Hi, I’m Tia and I approach therapy with the mindset that every client has internal skills that give them the ability to reach personal goals. I am a Licensed Professional counselor (LPC,) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC), and I have certifications as a Trauma-informed and Greif-informed professional (CCTP, CGP). I utilize an integrative client-centered approach, where the client takes the lead as the expert on their life and patterns of behaviors, and I help guide the client to uncover causes of core belief systems that fuel areas of concern. My role in this process is to support clients with encouragement while also maintaining accountability for positive change. I specialize in working with clients that have dealt with chronic illness or other serious health conditions and disabilities. I work from both a personal perspective and grief-focused practice. Managing significant life changes or personal struggles with ableist views of “how we should be living life” can be hard, frustrating, painful, and disappointing. I work to break the barriers created by those social constructs and present a new way of life that understands the difficulties but also provides hope and excitement for what life still holds for an individual. I also specialize in therapy focused on individuals in or surviving difficult relationships with family or romantic partners. I work to rebuild individual identity outside of that relationship and develop healthy boundaries and coping skills necessary for increasing self-esteem and challenging negative thought patterns. It can be hard letting go of abuse received from difficult people or diagnosed narcissistic. I work to help people move forward and find peace in their next chapter of life with skills that improve conflict management, and effective communication.

Do you feel like you have a million moving pieces in your life and you are just trying to figure out how to manage it all and continue to function? Are you finding that the demands of life have been taking a toll on your relationships and more importantly, yourself? Sometimes it can feel like life has just become too much, and having some additional support can help you see through all that is weighing you down. I take an individualized approach to counseling, meeting each person where they are with their needs and their strengths to help navigate through those feelings of being overwhelmed to build confidence in yourself and recognize the strength within. I provide a safe space for conversation and exploration, with gentle guidance in helping you determine what has been making you feel stuck, while together we uncover a path where that burden is reduced and you feel like you can breathe again. I have extensive experience working individually with clients in managing anxiety, depression, and relationship concerns, as well as with parents and caregivers who are trying to navigate circumstances with children coping with medical, behavioral, and emotional needs. Sometimes life can feel like too much, and you do not have to navigate it alone.
