(she/her)
Welcome! I'm Melissa =) Take a moment to acknowledge you've taken the first step towards bettering your mental health because let's be honest - starting therapy can be empowering, confusing, or scary, all at the same time. I strive to create a supportive and welcoming environment that allows clients to explore obstacles with concerns related to anxiety, depression, relationship issues,ADHD, healthy communication, and improved coping skills, to name a few. My focus is with individual adults to help develop assertive communication and boundaries with themselves and those around them that can help improve their quality of life. Counseling can foster personal development in whatever way you may be seeking and help build the life you so deeply deserve. I feel honored to hold and support this space with you. Not sure if you could use some help navigating life's challenges? Let's talk about the kind of support I can provide you. Bock a session with me to see if we're a good fit and how we can help you have more peace. Unfortunately, I am unable to assist in concerns for any type of documentation.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, delve into your history, then discuss the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a detailed plan for goals for us to work through in follow-up sessions. We can begin discussing your goals, barriers. challenges, and what success and peace looks like for your future.
Having worked with people struggling with mood issues , I can help through acute struggles and anxiety, and when someone feels like they "have no coping skills" I also am able to help with grounding techniques and managing emotional regulation. Additionally, I love working with adults of all ages from young college students to professional adults navigating life transitions and “adulting”.
I love working with all types of clients from various backgrounds and have extensive experience with adults wanting to empower themselves and improve their peace. Therapy is a tool to help you learn, reflect, and grow. If someone is able to place their mental health as a high priority, it is a gift I am honored to help with on your journey.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use DBT to explore mindfulness, emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance skills. It’s helped clients better manage their moods, improve self-esteem and confidence, set healthier boundaries, communicate more effectively, and build stronger relationships.
Motivational Interviewing
To help identify where progress stands for impulsive behaviors, addiction, self-harm, and other unwanted actions or behaviors.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
It enhances in-the-moment strategies, short-term goals, focuses on strengths, and encourages changes for the future.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I’ve been using CBT in my practice by helping clients challenge recurring thoughts and better manage their anxiety. Together, we’ll explore how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors connect, and use that understanding to shift your thinking patterns. This can lead to a calmer, more peaceful, and less stressful life.
